in my experience its faster to get the new mag before/while unloading an empty one, especially if you're in a larger area and want to replace the empty one instead of just dropping it, so you have less time being empty. you can operate the blaster one handed so you can be firing or ready to fire while replacing the empty mag in a pouch or pocket

Yeah, I don't reindex mags, just drop them in a dump pouch and deal with them post game. I don't reload with a mag in my hand, I hit the release and pull the mag with my support hand, drop it in the dump pouch, grab a new mag, shove it in and back to blasting. Having to mess around with re-indexing mags drives me crazy.

I went ahead and bought the Out of Darts 3d print mag release. Before that I was using a 3x3 lego brick I taped to the mag release so I was able to hit it with my middle finger

I don't have a local nerf community so modding is the only reason why I Nerf.

I personally think those comments come from people that take life too seriously and don't know how to have fun anymore.

My larp runs a cap of 120 fps because we don't require eye pro. Modding for me is *essential* because pro blaster hit way to high and most stock blasters hit way too low so you absolutely need to mod to tune up or down a blaster to get into a useful game-legal range.

imho i feel that modding wasn't as prevalent as it used to be like 10-15 years ago with pro blasters coming into existence, eg nexus pro and 3d printed blasters modded blasters can be good but most people dont see the point in the labour involved in modding a blaster want a short dart stampede? just buy a bk1/2s want a generic springer? just get a nexus pro the main beauty of modding is the customisation it allows you to do, with so many different shops selling different mod kits im in the process of modding an alpha trooper rn, the cs18 variant since i really love its colour scheme, its just really fulfilling seeing my build come together slowly and even though i probably wouldnt use it over my velcro, its still a really nice blaster to have
