Strength Training used as Cardio Training?
Thanks 👍
Thank u such a amazing teacher honestly one of the best ive scene
Now check the stuff that gymnasts do on straight arms, when there is a lot of torque. Why? Because they strengthened their elbows. How? By doing straight arm and locked elbows excercise regularly. Same stuff applies to any gym excercise. If you lock your elbow always, you not only have the grestest range of motion which is beneficial, but also strenghten the joint and all the tendons there. Thats why gymnasts can do all the excercices like maltese/planche etc in the first place. Of course you need to do the excercises like dumbell curls controllably keeping tension when locking out and do it with a weight you can manage well, then you will strenghten your elbows, tendons and basically eliminate chance of injury.
Not to mention modern science confirms that doing better range of motion is also more hypertrophy compared to "keeping the tension at all times" and not straightening your arms/legs fully.
To me looks like the distance between load and shoulder joint remain the same lifting or not.
I was taught full range of motion, and now I have elbow joint pain. Do you think this is the possible cause of elbow pain?
I wouldn't be surprised, however, I would have a physician have a look at any chronic joint pain...
This was so helpful! Thank you 😊
