What a warm sound and lovely moledy
Kumiko's one sounds soft and melancholic,Asuka's one sounded painful and meaningful
This anime was fr the reason why i decided to play Euphonium in middle school and continue to play to this day ❤️
watched this back in my marching band days i remember trying to learn this on my baritone MANNNNNNNNN now that season 3 is out im getting hit with a wave of nostalgia
It just sounds like she's playing it on a baritone instead of a euphonium.... Only real euph or baritone players will know what I mean by that

Usually the music in a show doesn't sell itself but here you can tell just from the sound what's going on. How she's hesitant and unstable at the beginning but as her memories of Asuka flow back the sound becomes calmer and cleaner.

I find it funny how the person playing used less air to get that shaky sound but still had a high schooler easily reach a high Ab with no warm up

Sound Euphonium Movie 3. Just finished watching seasons 1 and 2. Moving on to "Liz and The Blue Bird," (Movie 1) then Movies 2 and 3
I love Kumirei but sometimes I really thinks Asuka means more than Reina to Kumiko😢 (I’m kumirei fans tho
ye since in many ways, asuka is the older sister that kumiko always wanted. kumiko’s dream was to play music alongside her sister. the one who inspired her to pick up music in the first place. but alot had happened to both of them that they lost sight of that dream. while reina ignited the flame for kumiko to aim higher, asuka was the one to show her how much she loves the euphonium, despite her sister telling her to stop playing because she was jealous. reina still a huge factor in kumiko’s life but asuka is everything kumiko wanted
