I genuinely do not know it im some sort of weird masochist or what but I fully sincerely enjoyed the immesne difficulty spike of the second game. I fully understand that i am in the wrong on this as literally everyone else disagrees with me on this but that is my actual opinion and i dont know what to do about it

Agreed with all of the criticism to be honest. It was definitely a good game but it felt kind tedious compared to the first one.

I honestly love both games, but I've put many more hours into the second. I'm a sucker for non linear storytelling and the variety of playable characters that the second game has, and there's so many good custom campaigns out there that either reimagine the ending, or just straight up tell new stories. But fuck me, casualties can go die, I still hate that level. I've beaten all levels on normal and hard mode, and while people mention Dead Ahead as being really hard, I just can't ever enjoy casualties. It's probably the point of the level, but it doesn't change the fact it sucks

The thing about hlm2 that frustrated me the most was the fucking dogs that blend in with the dark floor background that you have to squint at the screen to see. Getting killed by those was absolute bullshit

honestly, I do agree that you can't play hotline 2 like the first one, because on this one you actually have to think, the first one is just a blood-fest where you can rush in not knowing shit and still win easily, the second game requires quick reflexes and die trying to you can finally do a good run, the way you played the game made it boring, please try it again

Exposure is when you’re literally not in coverand killing an enemy in sightline of another enemy. It can stack ridiculously well when you understand that. I’ve had it stack x56 and get an s+ despite literally not doing anything other than shotgun in doorway it’s VERY funny

unironically casualties was my favourite level in hlm2, i perfected it in my first playthrough of the level because i found it that god damn fun. i still dislike some of the sections near the end in the building tho

I think HM 1 had the best OST and the downgrade in sound is a big part of why I do not like HM 2
