CONFIRMED: SpaceX to Attempt Historic SuperHeavy Catch on Flight 5!
SpaceX confirms on X that they will attempt to catch the SuperHeavy booster on the 5th flight! Will they succeed? I hope so. If they do, history will point to this moment as THE moment that made it possible for humanity to become a space fairing civilization. Will you be there to watch the launch of IFT-5?

Elon announced on X that SpaceX will indeed try to capture the Super Heavy booster in the next launch using the tower arms, also known as Mechazilla after this successful mission. He also mentioned that the ship, in an interview with , landed 6 KM off geographically. I’m around 4.8 KM away from the launchpad when viewing the Starship launch from México. I might be in South Padre Island next t...

Witnessing Starship Launch at Playa Bagdad, México!

On November 18, 2023, SpaceX achieved a remarkable milestone by successfully launching their second Starship rocket, complete with a successful stage separation. My girlfriend and I had the incredible opportunity to witness this launch from the northernmost tip of Playa Bagdad, México. To the best of my knowledge, this spot is as close as one can legally get to a Starship launch. This experienc...

". If they do, history will point to this moment as THE moment that made it possible for humanity to become a space fairing civilization." - Why? The rocket hasn't yet taken anything to even LEO - how will catching the booster be the moment 'humanity' is suddenly able to be a "space faring civilization"? If they succeed in catching it, there will be weeks/months of maintenance before it can be re-used.

Elon seems to be the only billionaire trying to do something for the greater good of mankind. Chevelle's album "NIRATIAS" should be space X's OST because every song on it just screams Elon and his businesses he owns now,.

Does it sounds like giant flare to you? The closer to rocket it sound more like tearing like sound while farther away like staccato of extremely loud pops and bangs. Does your ears ring after or just get sore?

I did a thing with google maps and they were around 3 miles away from the launch pad. I can’t imagine what 16+ million pounds of thrust pounding the air feels like from that close.

Thank you! If you watch videos of other small channels like mine, you can count how long it takes to hear the sound. I counted 24 seconds. From the location I was at in Mexico… it’s exactly 12 SECONDS. Gives you a sense of much closer we were compared to those next closest point in the U.S. which is Isla Blanca. CRAZY.

He should have named the starship the BAR (big ass rocket) and then he could have said you would be able to pass the bar if you make a rocket
