Hey, man. In looking to fix my Wii U, I found your video. This is excellent info, and you earned a like, but I only have one question. What are the specs of the fuse (voltage and amperage) of the fuse you used? I know you provided a link to a suitable replacement, but the link 404's, so I've been looking all over, but the Wii U's specs are sorely missing, since no one seems to care about it, so I can't find the fuse specs. Could you please help me out? Maybe I can find a suitable smd fuse, even if it is a little bit bigger, if the specs match the original fuse, maybe it can work. I'm willing to experiment with my system, seeing as how it is already almost dead, I have nothing to lose. Thanks in advance.

Incredible, I have a Wiiu almost a decade ago, which had that same error. but when you turn it on and off several times trying to make it work miraculously, (because sometimes it started without the error) suddenly it never turned on again, could it be that both fuses burned out and that's why it doesn't turn on? I spent years looking for the solution and only now I see this video.. like and subscribe btw, thank you.

Piss on vizio 18 month old tv and the back lights go out. Vizio says oh well. Their product is just as crappy as they are. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

TOSS IT!! Vizio are CRAP!! My 70 inch had started dying right around the time of the Game of Thrones night battle, so it was god awful. It lasted, but with a splotchy lit screen, til this past Black Friday, when it went completely dark(Timing, right?). Well, when the freight guys showed up with my new Samsung QLED(It was a tossup between Samsung or another Sony Bravia, which I have in bedroom and is still amazing), I asked em if they wanted the old Vizio, which can be somewhat fixed(According to these videos) and the guys immediately asked me if it was a Vizio. I told him that it was and he laughed. He said he spent almost a year exchanging peoples' Vizios and they were legit garbage. It's not worth the time, energy and $$ to repair them, that's for sure. I cannot believe there hasn't been a recall or a class action lawsuit against them yet, tbh.

I put new main board in and my tv is still black.

THANKS! I used a heatgun on the actual heat sink with foil protecting the rest of the board and now the TV is back to working again.

This video helps. I'm currently in the beginning process of trying to fix my old Wii's motherboard my younger self broke. I'm am Amateur but gaining experience as of late. Already brought a donor's wii motherboard so all that is needed now is understanding the best way to remove the parts. 😅

Isn't it just better/cheaper to just buy a new board and install it?

Pretty sure this may be issue with my sons 43" Vizio. Only difference is with his if I unplug it and hard drain the caps when i turn it back on the screen will work for a few seconds and look perfect. But once a few seconds go by and it heats up the screen goes dark. Its not completely black but you can barely see anything at all. Would this be the same issue? If so what do you charge for this repair? I may be interested in sending the board in for repair.

I'm absolutely amazed, i baked the board for 10 minutes at 400 degrees and it actually worked. I thought it was going to melt or destroy it but it didn't. Amazing

Thanks for your help. I got all the way to recovery menu for the wii u and did the software fixes but to no avail. Now I most likely know that unit will take a board level fix to get going again. I will test continuity on the places you said. Thanks a ton for your help! I know I can replace such a part, but without a donor unit, Idk how to go about sourcing the fuse. But then I saw you even linked to the spare part to purchase. Thanks, you're a day saver. Kept me from floundering on this one, and I'm onto the next one now, going to return to my 160-1400 brick at another date. You are the man!!!!

I reflowed the chip but with flashlight, I can see the screen turns green red blue every time I turn it on while there is still no backlight. Is it toast? Vizio model D40f-F1

If you have a Vizio tv with no image upon turn on, but you lightly press on the screen, you see backlights, or pull up on the edge trim, & see backlights, could it be one of the main boards? I have not tried using a flashlight to see if a "Ghost image" appears. Got a hold of a Vizio 50" "V" series (not sure of the pixel ratings) thank you 🤓
