thats crazy, as an addult man i encountered toxic people in sot, but that level against females is just disgusting... who in his right mind is saying things like that? also i just sunk as a solo slooper a burning blade and it took me over an hour and the crew all said they report me for attacking them non stop even they are the world event, its ridiculous... if i get banned one day from doing world events im done for good.

I had my main banned from sot for 'camping and stream sniping falcore foxdie and yookay' (we double boarded and killed them 4-5 times while r mate cannoned) i asked on discord and i got banned from the server, so at that point was when i realized how bs this game was and i started using 120 fov bcz its more fun and rare r the most useless company ever tbh and they ban ppl for doing nothing but not hardcore cheaters 🤷 ( i was told i was banned for 'homophonic slurs in bio ( my bio was i dont use pronouns) 😭 i also never got my main back

Yeah I don't really Trust Rockstar games I mean Rare and their support team they don't seem to care too much about casual players or even famous streamers, but the second you lay a finger on Partners or their Pirate Emporium your toast, like Rockstar not caring about hackers or people using God Mode exploits in their game but the second you start using money glitches or even a hat and mask glitch it's over for you or the fun cosmetic glitch that cause no actual harm

No need to feel offended by a bunch of toxic people who have given up on life. They'll hopefully grow out of it eventually or live miserably forever because only finding pleasure in beeing an annoyance is just not a way to live. Thats just my stance on it I dont understand why people do this

Breh I feel your worrys and fears I used to be really good on red dead online and I mean really good and now I can't even show my profile online I was doxxed hundreds of times I have people messageing me years later still trying to hunt me down and still harassing me and rockstar did nothing about it I honestly don't even play small multiplayer games like that anymore I just play battlefield now cheaters pedos hackers and more have ruined my happiness with games like red dead redemption 2 sea of theives cod and more

I'll admit, I've dealt with cheaters myself, teleporters and the like, Easy Anti-Cheat is about as effective as Valve AntiCheat on steam...(I've dealt with children swearing at me worse than how I swear when stubbing my toes, and those people who say those things to people are just sad pathetic people who have nothing better to do than cower behind their computer knowing they're get destroyed if they said it face-to-face...)

Pretty much all games anti cheat is crap and we keep on paying for them. GTAV, battlefield V, has the same issues . This is why we continue having crap.

This is why I play on console and limit my play to console players only. Cheaters are almost non existent and it is extremely rare to see yellowbeards or bans outside of people using racist language.

Many games are severely lacking unnecessarily in the anti-cheat department thanks to lack of investment (Not a dev decision) but ultimately and I'm aware lots of people will groan hearing this but the best way to handle cheating is hitting the cheat makers and users with proper legal consequences. I know it's much dreaded political talk but legislation is how things get done, publishers and studios could be a lot more legally obliged to protect their community than they are and could be empowered further to legally go after cheat makers. In the US Bungie is legally going after cheat developers but the case is showing how much change is needed in the law and why other studios haven't tried this. It is also important to note Bungie isn't doing this because they're legally obliged to protect their community they are doing it because it's hurt their profit margins enough at this point.

EAC is utterly dogshit. Lost my fn account of 7 years because I was “cheating” (i had fortnite and risk of rain open at the same time, and we had just changed network providers), they refuse to undo it and refuse to tell me what caused it due to EAC policies.

I love the concept and bringing awareness but stuff like this isn't what the game needs in 2024. I think you should change the title to Sea Of Thieves Homage To Cheaters In 2024. Instead of saying its NOT SAFE. When its perfectly safe. Just report cheaters when you see em and be on your way.

I'm sad to hear this, because I loved sailing the seas for a while, but hearing this is disheartening. Still had a lot of things I haven't done, but I don't know if I'll be hopping back in. Thank you for letting me know this, as sad as the information is. Here's hoping Rare actually does hear and respond, though seeing this I'm not holding my breath. :c Maybe one day we can sail some cheater-free seas and plunder, so here's to hoping!

it's so depressing that this stuff keeps happening. The game could be so cool and fun but Rare insist on being negligent, pretending harassment doesn't happen and cheating is a minor issue.

I'm fairly confident I had somebody intentionally crash a server today after I got away with an Orb of Secrets. They were doing the Burning Blade and I had already started the Skeleton Fortress by the time I noticed them on the map. I saw them fighting a solo sloop as they were also trying to get to me -- but we were moving against the wind and of course my Sloop outpaced the Burning Blade in that condition -- by the time I had my boat nearly to the Sovereigners Dock, everything froze like I was hit with a huge spike of ping and then I crashed out and lost it all. Where I'm not confident that they intentionally did it is in my understanding of the Orbs of Secrets and how they fit into the Burning Blade cash-in. If I took an Orb before they could get to the fortress, are they unable to then do the full cash-in on the Burning Blade? Or could they also do the Fortress and get their own Orb? If the answer is "no, they would need to take my orb," then I'm 100% certain that was intentional as I can only recall one other time that I have had a server crash completely. Most of the time the worst of my connectivity issues are just the occasional lag hiccup and some jumping around for a spell. Then it sorts itself out.

Cheating is so frustrating but all the sexual harassement and everything, this is terrifying. Imagining that some people in our world are doing this and standing next to us is breaking my brain. Even in lol those thing don't happen and it's clearly not the friendliess game, rare need to do something

I got a lifetime ban for naming a brig. If the name wasn't aloud why let me name it what I did? It wasn't a bad name and made tons of people laugh. I think the punishment was too harsh, and there needs to be a warning system.
