Beautiful map
Played the first map of this last night. Will be finishing it up this weekend. How do you like it?
I like it a lot. It's obvious that it has been a labour of love as it's very detailed, well built/lit and with thought through combat setups/secrets. And it gets better and better with each map. I thought the first couple of maps perhaps were a tad bit easy, but I have nothing to complain about regarding that in this map, for example. Not a huge fan of Chthon fights so not sure about the very last map yet, we'll see when I've finished it (died in the lava the first time I tried).

Yay, somebody apart from me did a video playthrough of my map! 😜 There's also a biosuit behind a misaligned texture next to the door on the top level of the octagonal area
That was actually one of my small niggles with the map. I was, like, if you're going to make me dive into the slime, give me a biosuit.

This guy is obsessed with seeing someone melee a shambler lol. Every single quake vid.
funny tactic - as soon as monster appears - turn around and run away for a mile, and then turn back and carefully attack again. Often been seen it in your videos. Why is that?
Cheesing the primitive monster AI. Specifically the monster's running functions in Quake are really bad.
In this case it was because the fight became too chaotic when not doing that, so I ended up cheesing them instead. I sort of hate being even hit, so I try to avoid it if possible.

Cool map, I liked the steel works/lava factory theme. I thought that sentry at 3:09 was a bit of a time-sink though - just strafing in and out of cover for ages until it exploded - it could've done with having less health, or possibly other monsters occasionally spawning in to make it more interesting

*Some 100% Quake Stats after 500 maps* As this is the 500th playthrough I’ve uploaded, I thought I’d share some statistics on those 500 maps. First, I’d like to point out that these 500 maps aren’t necessarily my favourite maps of all time, although a lot of them of course are. They are rather maps I like a lot, that I can finish in a 100% run in one segment on Nightmare difficulty (and I’ve also put a premium on maps with lots of secrets).
