Brand name - don't overthink it. and that applies to business in general. Don't worry about a logo, or business cards, or what your catchy brand name will be. Your actual name is perfect enough! When it comes to the example "epic realty," your brokerage/MLS will have limitations on what your name can be. Unless you own your own brokerages, you may not be able to use the word "realty" because it would imply you own your own brokerage. You may instead be able to use something like "Epic Team" or "Epic Group." I own my own brokerage and have looked at Exp several times - it just doesn’t make sense for me personally. Can I still have huge success like this with referrals if I’m not an Exp agent? I know that being with them is a big part of having access to referrals across the nation, but again, just not for me.

@@StagingHomes2SellbyLizWhittier All the more reason why Exp would benefit, IF they're looking to ONLY do referrals. Exp has an entirely separate division just for Referrals. Agents in the Exp Referral division don't pay the $85/mo, they just pay $50/mo. Agents can still earn stocks, get exp healthcare, revenue share, and do their own personal deals. The con is agents in the referral division do not have access to the MLS, since they are going to be referral only. In your case you can still have success with being an outbound referral agent, of course! It may not be worth the liability of owning your own brokerage. and it depends on if you still want to help a few clients in your own MLS here and there. I originally had thought about owning my own brokerage, but that's not for me. I'd rather have Exp take on the liability. I'll just pay the measly $85/mo and still benefit from everything else. Are you looking to become a 100% outbound referral agent, or would you still want to do a deal here and there?

Great question! No. that would be a terrible split. You keep 80% the 20% that goes to exp realty gets disbursed in the following manner: 50% of that 20% goes to the brokerage the other 50% of that 20% gets sprinkled amongst your upline (7 levels up), incentivizing them to help you even further to help you make more money. For simple math, if the commission check (after fees) is $10,000: You get $8,000 the other $2,000 gets split between Exp ($1,000) and the other $1,000 gets split amongst levels 1-7 in your Exp Family. Does that make sense?

Yes there are definitely ways to fast track. The more people you reach out to, the faster you will close on your first house. Reach out to 50 people every single day for the first 90 days and I can pretty much guarantee you will have something under contract. Typical closing itself takes around 60 days. However for an agent to find their first client is dependent on how hard and smart they work. Clients don't land on your lap. So many new agents think this business is easy. It definitely isn't. It takes a lot of work, and that's why it's rewarding!

That's if you pay with a CC. If you pay DD it's still $85. Great point!
