Mickey's voice, like most '60s rockers, is largely gone, but the music still works. I have heard Carole King perform this, but I think the Monkees do it better.

The Monkees have been a great part of my life since I was 15 years old. I still enjoy their TV series, music, movie, concerts, specials, books, etc. I learned to play guitar by using their music books and I followed their brilliant careers though the years. All four of them, Davy, Mike, Peter and Micky, have my recognition and admiration for putting so much effort to give us, their fans, so many wonderful moments and memories. I appreciate it very much that Micky is reminding us to celebrate everything we shared during our lives. My best regards Micky.

Let me just say that I have unlimited respect for Rachel and I was probably the biggest Monkee fan I know. One opening comment that Rachel made about learning about the sixties from watchine the Monkees is misplaced, for the Monkees were a contrived business brought to us by the studio, and the sixties expressed a discontent with institutions and the war in Vietnam. I believe that music was the connection that expressed all of that.
