You have to understand that some companies only care about doing every single thing we can do to fix your house and stop any further damage. However, some companies only care about finding as many services to overcharge you for and dont haggle with insurance whatsoever, ESPECIALLY when its a selfpaying customer. They ripped up all flooring because water travels under flooring creating a vapor seal that spreads very far and if there are mold spores, those get spread throughout your house and onto your furniture. It also helps to get your stuff somewhere safe so its not absolutely destroyed from moisture or getting cracked by fans and dehumidifiers drying it too much. All in all, you have to look up the ratings and reviews on the company you or your insurance chose to go with. An example that I recommend avoiding is MDF trim, I know the cost for pine or other products most likely are higher, you should strongly consider this.
