I agree with you, the public (fans of games) should have a bigger voice when it comes to awards. It has a sour taste that only 5% comes from community votes. Hahaha... you nailed it. I am watching the Game Awards for the announcements. The rest I skip.

Funny enough over on steam the dead god achievment is at 3.5%, so even if the game is super difficult quite a few people stick with it all the way through! I'm currently at 280/640 achievments after about 170 hours, so still quite a ways to go

The only thing I like about the game awards these days are the trailers and the new game announcements. The awards seem to cause conversation that makes no sense to me, because like all award shows I bet the large majority of viewers or voters probably didn't play/watch/listen to 100% of the nominees. I did play Astro Bot and it is very worthy of GOTY. It's good that there are different types of games out there, because not everyone is going to enjoy everything. Like mentioned in the video, I haven't played all of them either, but I wouldn't say that one or the other isn't worthy of the award. To each their own obviously, but I have to disagree on a lot of it. This is what creates conversation though. Keep em coming good sir!

i have like 500 hours on it but didnt finish it because i kept using the debug console and then restarting cuz i felt like it didnt make sense to do it that way and i did that like 5 times so i lost all my progress, now i did it again hoping it will be the last time, atleast im doing progress pretty quickly

Took me a bit over 400 hours to get dead god. Obviously if I knew what I was doing then it wouldn't have taken so long but man this game really packs the content.

Heh, recently platted Rebirth (no dlc; it was cheaper, and I heard it was easier to plat that way) in 2 months with 100 hrs play. 😗🎶

After 600 hours, I managed to get Dead God!! I never thought I'd be able to do it, but I managed to! And then after that, I went back to the original Flash Isaac and got Eternal God, too, which was a lot less fun... But still, I impressed myself that I was able to get it!

Dlc are made platinum easier, trust me. Afterbirth does the best job making lost easy and meatboy too.

Yeah true it is hard, but isaac is so fun. My first dead god took me like 550ish hours started my second save aswell.

I am currently trying to unlock death certificate and I am so close to getting it but I am on tainted lost right now which is regular lost but way harder.

Didn’t know if you knew this, but you can get super meat boy achievement by using Lilith on greed mode

As a person who’s been playing since wrath of the lamb, play the dlcs. Get some of the unlocks. Hold the restart button, use your resources, but be smart about it. Saving an emperor card for next floor to immediately go to boss to secure a deal chance, stuff like that. Unlocks like glitched crown, options, soul stones,holy mantle, godhead, the runes, are ESSENTIAL and basically run winners. The game get exponentially easier the more you learn and play. Also always play on hard

11:33 another thing about luck is that it increases the chance of your tear effects, so lets say you have sinus infection, having a high luck stat will increase the chances of you shooting out more boogers instead of regular tears.

I’m at almost 1000hrs and only 68/80 trophies for the platinum and I’ve reached a point where my desire to even play the game anymore let alone continue on trying for more marks and achievements is nearing its end I can feel it just draining my soul and wasting all my free time. It’s not a fun or fair difficulty in most runs/situations. I would also argue that J&E are far worse to play and control than the lost and that unlocking the forgotten is also far more annoying and frustrating than unlocking the lost.
