I custom handmake these....you're looking at $400US + shipping. U.S. Residents Only. I use American made high quality steel. These are my version Snow-Tac SOG Vietnam Tribute Combat Knives. 1/4" blade thickness, 7" blade 1095 or 5160 spring steel, they have a saber grind with aggressive hollow grinds. Either 10 degree secondary cutting edge or zero tolerance cutting edge meaning straight razor bevel to zero. I prefer the hollow grinds to zero. I use a water cooling process to create these types of saber with aggressive hollow grinds. I make these to do the maximum damage to an aggressor opponent as they're combat knives not utility knives. I made one for my daughter and it is razor sharp beyond calculation! Again with the straight razor blade profile its seriously formidable combat blade. Bark River knives get it I believe theirs is aggressive hollow grinds with around 5 - 10 degree secondary cutting edge. Refer to my sharpening videos to understand sharpening physics, how to keep your knife razor sharp easily with inspecting your blade and a few light strokes on a stone or sharpening rod. On my SOG tributes no two are exactly alike but very close to similar., the one in the video above I sold last year to a gentleman in Texas. Right now I have 2 template blade profile choices. Working on another #3 style with straight sharpened clip point. Like in the Netflix movie (Trigger Warning) with Jessica Alba her dad made for her. I'll try and do a video soon, but I too totally dig these SOG combat knives particularly the Vietnam style versions.

Thanks for your reply. I love the style!! Bark river uses a Convex grind. I find mine to be an inefficient slicer. Much too thick behind the edge. I may hit you up in the future my friend. I would love a design that is more effective for outdoor tasks, which is where and how I use my knives. Take care.

@@MrLeonidas0001 Its a bad ass large blade survival tool! I love this 1st generation version, I looked at all the weakness of my prototype and tried to address those issues and I don't see it changing much. If I sell a few or many of them that is super cool however in all honestly it doesn't matter to me if I don't get knives sold at all as I really never got into to this to try and sell my knives. I didn't, it was knife reviews but I find it challenging and I'm flattered when someone wants one. I get serious then, if they're paying I got to make sure its worth what they're paying and it pushes me to do my best. Working in my shop its relaxing, its about the passion and the cool factor for me. I got an order today for my Alpha Tracker #02 so I'm making two at a time because I want mine! lol! 🙏

Big knives are actually quite useful to the infantryman. From low effort tent stake making and then doubling as a hammer to discreetly burying wire, digging or prying open crates and breaching - I’ve never regretted carrying 1 large well built knife on my kit instead of a knife/ axe/ e-tool added to the weight of my kit.

The prototype I tapered the primary bevel different, midway through I decided "Carrillo" grind. On this one I precise measured/marked and created the Carrillo grinds separate from the secondary grinds. I can make each subsequent exactly the same. I documented the passes and calculations. Remember, I did a video and told you guys my goal was to advance this knife in quality and design and make it the best tracker knife ever.

Sure....I get it from my brothers company Sunbelt Industries its solid rubber material there's no wire in its just 1/4" thick comes in 1/4" X 6 wide rubber roll. It has outstanding shock absorbing qualities and you can even wrap it with 550 para-cord if you take out the 7 strands in the para-cord. I will do a video compilation of this Alpha Tracker and I'll go over the rubber material. I will include around 20 feet of new black 550 paracord with my Alpha Tracker. The spindle divot is cool and I will just add it to all subsequent builds, you guys will see that. The spine serrations make light work of notching, so starting myself another Alpha Tracker as I know it will field test and perform. I will make these out of 1075 and 5160 and I will stand behind my heat treatments and my knives with "normal use" if the knife breaks in half or at the tang joint or the tip breaks under normal use, not abuse example like stabbing car hoods or 55 gallon barrels. You seen my prototype handle the abuse. But under normal use and breakage I will replace the knife, I will build the buyer a new Snow-Tac Knives Alpha Tracker Survival Knife no charge! Any of my knives built with tanto tips I will give buyer lifetime warranty! The terracotta triangle tips with tanto tips are the strongest shape found in nature this is why the Japanese designed their swords with it. I leave ample meat on that tip is not going to just break from normal use and will most likely hold up under severe abuse. However "abuse" voids my warranty!

We would never sell our home, I don't believe we will ever sell. So I'll be fighting these bark beetles to keep those last 2 pine trees! Also going to get a dozen 2 foot starter pines and plant them all over spread through our property. I know what to spray them with now to protect them.

I got you down for a Alpha Tracker in 1075 build. That steel will heat treat like I want also doing several design fixes listed above. Buyers get priority service I work on their knife everyday possible until completed. Thanks for your confidence, it will be built with attention to detail.

It is, I wasn't totally happy with the secondary cutting edge performance....I think 1075 build will perform better. Edge retention went to shit, didn't hold long enough wasn't bad but I strive for perfection. I can do better, they got to be better to pass or I won't let it go out.

I tend to agree with you as far looks chisel grind just doesn't do it for me however they say they perform pretty well.

@snow_tacknives2024 Let's see, the Tracker Digger has a bearing divet in the scales (TOPS KNIVES), the skullcrusher Extreme Blade has it in the scales, Cuma Takri 3.5 has it. Just a ball peen stamped bowl is all it is. If your camp knife doubles as part of your bow & drill fire set, we're adding functionality to the tool. Also, the ATAX (TOPS KNIVES) has the divet. That's a super gimmicky knife, but it does have the divet for you to look at. Think "ball peen pounded into red hot steel near the balance point" and you'll be right there.

@@danielww9022 I have hard drive spindles! that will slip right into the smaller hole, they're perfect size! They have a recess lip so they lock into place, they go into the hole and then stop. They actually have a metal circular spike that would go right into your bow stick. I have the technical know how to retrieve more spindles, very hard to do I will include one with the knife. A smaller hole can e added just above the choil area.
