For some, it's easy. For me not so much. 1,010 subs after 1 year, 3 months. Only 685 public watch time. Watch time is harder to get than subs! Keep in mind you lose watch time after 365 days and so, you have to get 4,000 hours of watch time in "365 days"! It may time me another 5 years.

Been uploading twice a week for 3 years ( I deleted some videos eventually because I was not happy with them), 142 videos in, 77 subs. I doubt I'll ever reach 100 tbh.

My channel has just cracked 400 videos, I have experimented with the length of the videos, different techniques, different subjects, playing different games and so on... so far the most difficult thing about new channels is "audience engagement," getting people to engage with a new video from an unknown channel is a real struggle. Any tips on this subject would be welcome. - A

Me and my girlfriend are fighting to hit first 100 subs for months with over 60 videos but just lately we started with posting more and to check more analytics and we are getting more people now, even one of our last videos hit 750 hours in few days and that is a lot of us.. We hope that we will get more people with us in upcoming months, and also we are supporting everyone who leaves a comment 🙂

But is'nt that to be fake when you tell people do as some others do? At the same time you tell them to be themselves? I don't get it! I believe that if you wanna be unique, you should do what you are passionate about and do it the way you feel most comfortable in, It will probably be against all recommendations I've seen and heard online but it will definitely be Unique!! And I believe that's what people want to see and hear, something different. If everyone followed these given guideliness, their content will all be similar so I would suggest to avoid all guidelines about how you should do, sound or look but still stick to the rules of publishing on youtube! Just do your thing, your way. That's unique! 👍

So true, people who are small creator don't need to focus on the views or how many subs you are making. Making videos should be made with love and passion for the thing you want to do, and to just make others happy! Small creators, we need to also help support each other, this helps others achieve their dreams and for others have a place for support!
