She extracts the highest expression from what ever music she sings. They say Schwarzkopf was a perfectionist . Well Joyce is too a perfectionist but so communicative and warm and alive even in bits of syllables. I wont compare but likevPrice and Sills she is unforgettable and when you hear her- you believe there is noone else alive that can make Music like this! Every syllable is with Joyce a chance to extract meaning snd express a living sentiment. Lucky are those who studied in classes with her snd saw this growth. I watch every masterclass she gives. If there was ever a voice to excite a generation as Callas did it is this tremendously alive woman. She mskes us all better musicians. I love her voice like no other living thing on this planet. Im glad to be alive while she toured. I csnt believe any other experience will be so rich.

Her sculptured sound ! Her taste and musicianship. I always felt Mascagni was overly sentimental, ripe music but now i get what his generation of verismo composers were enlivening and bringing to life: an earthy,bodily ripe feeling for expressing qualities found in expressingvlife.

She is a superb singer, but the heavy vibrato and the rather heavy tone is better suited to music of a later period! Sometimes we find that a very young girl with a thin and half-trained voice, sings the sweetness & lightness & subtle gradations in a better way. Opera singers trained on hyper-dramatic Verdi and Puccini, are not always the best interpreters of Mozart. young girl

Leider trifft Frau Flemming den hohen Ton am Anfang des Liedes nicht genau. Sie ist minimal zu tief. Das ist bei etlichen Aufnahmen von ihr auf RUclips zu hören. Auf der Platte "The Beautiful Voice" (auch bei RUclips zu finden) hingegen ist es zu 100% korrekt und ganz zauberhaft.

Brilliant and phenomenal singer from Romania Angela Gheorghiu with a wonderful soprano! However, apparently in this concert number of the composer Giuseppe Verdi "La Traviata" Angela Gheorghiu is not in the best vocal form in the main part of Violetta and admits inaccuracies in intonation. In some places, in her vocal part Angela Gheorghiu, instead of salt-sharp, she intonationally lowers the note and sings it almost like salt-bekar. We will expect from Angela Gheorghiu new brilliant vocal female parts! Bravo, Angela Gheorghiu!
