    Hey guys awesome jig head I use them all the time, the only thing I have an issue with is, I rig it exactly like the video shows but, sometime I will get a small nibble not from a big fish then when I reel back in, my softbait has come off the jighead and I have to slip it back over and It tense to rip the softbait up a bit over a few times. Would really love to find out if there is something I could do tips or tricks ?

  • @brianbarnard7004
    @brianbarnard7004 7 месяцев назад

    While using them beside other rods with bait on, they got nibbles but hooked nothing, but i did catch fish on the bait.

    • @glowbitefishing4945
      @glowbitefishing4945 7 месяцев назад

      If you have the anchor down and you are bait fishing then the Grumpy Fish will not perform so well because it does not have a natural action and the fish are attracted to the smell of the bait. Start drifting over areas that are holding fish and you will often do better on the Grumpy Fish because it is moving like a little squid and getting in front of new fish as it drifts. It will then often out fish bait and the smaller hooks will damage less fish too.

  • @Gazzaloddi-ml9ej
    @Gazzaloddi-ml9ej 7 месяцев назад

    Just wrecked two trying to get them on the jig lol. Fark it isn't easy. These would be nice with a barbless jighead option. Shouldn't have to use pliers to pull the head over the barb.

    • @glowbitefishing4945
      @glowbitefishing4945 7 месяцев назад

      Hey Blair, Are you sure that you are using the soft baits and jig heads from Glowbite (Mighty Micros)? Watch the video from 9 minutes onward. They should not be hard to install and pliers are never required. Jig Heads with smaller lugs on them don't tend to hold these super stretchy soft plastic baits so well.

    • @Gazzaloddi-ml9ej
      @Gazzaloddi-ml9ej 7 месяцев назад

      Yeah the 6 pack with three jig heads. Got better at getting the micro on and up to the barb by the fourth go, but once the head hits the first barb the rest of the body just squishes up behind and they ain't going on without being pulled and stretched. No drama i'll suss it. Had a go yesterday, the action of these in the water is very nice and they sure do look realistic. I found a straight retrive worked best for the shallow water I was in off the rocks

    What if the jack flash doesn’t flash ?

    • @glowbitefishing4945
      @glowbitefishing4945 7 месяцев назад

      Then it will just be a Jack... not so flash 🙂 Seriously though, they work just as well as any other slow pitch lure if the light is deactivated (we have tested this), but the light makes them much more noticeable to fish. Lights last for 70 hours in the water and replacements can be purchased at fishinginnovators.co.nz/collections/spare-parts/products/replacement-lure-lights

    Hi Wes, did you fish them like your typical soft baits? One thing I struggle with, is how to fish the lure since it’s so light, so I feel like I’m not in touch with it. I will say that I’m fishing in the estuary for now, so I’ll try the shrimp. But I will go to the sea soon to use them.

    • @wmbraddock
      @wmbraddock 8 месяцев назад

      Yes, when fishing from a boat or a kayak I cast in front of the area that I am drifting into and twitch and swim the lure slowly back to me. I think one of the key things is that I am using a very fine braid so that it does not hang up in the water column, doesn't stretch and I can feel the lure even when it is a very light weight. I have fished the 12 gram lure in up to 50m of water using this braid.

      Hi Pieter, yes because these lures are so popular and catching so many fish we will release the soft baits and jigheads separately soon. Our method is always to send the new lures out to subscribers first and get their feedback, then we look at any improvements or variations that will work well. If there is a specific colour soft bait that you prefer, you can get that on the www.fishinginnovators.co.nz website instead of buying the 3 colour sampler packs

      I was using an Alvey Orbiter SR100 reel and a matching Alvey RO100 rod (7 foot soft bait combo). Its a very smooth set up and it works these lures very well. The braid that I use is only 0.08mm and it is rated 10 pound but I find that it breaks at about 18 pound on the tester. Braid is called Perline Surf Pro.
