We launched at Gulf Harbor in Auckland that day. That is the boat ramp that you can see behind me in the video. Other testing and filming missions are done in a range of locations all over New Zealand

So what reel and rod combo would you use with one of these and 0.8 PE? I see there was an Alvey? spinning reel in the video? thanks

I was using an Alvey Orbiter SR100 reel and a matching Alvey RO100 rod (7 foot soft bait combo). Its a very smooth set up and it works these lures very well. The braid that I use is only 0.08mm and it is rated 10 pound but I find that it breaks at about 18 pound on the tester. Braid is called Perline Surf Pro.
