A beautiful day outdoors. The forest is calling for meditation and cooking, so my dish today is a curd fritter, a very famous Ukrainian dessert. It’s so simple, made with just cottage cheese, egg, sugar, and flour, but it's very tasty.

@@OutdoorfoodwithJuliaW Tatrach nie byłem bo tam w sezonie letnim i zimowym jest zbyt dużo turystów ale to prawda że Tatry są piękne.Ja wolę takie miejsca w których jest mało turystów albo ich wogule nie ma..dla mnie najpiękniejsze takie miejsce to puszcza białowieska i pojezierze suwalskie jeśli oczywiście chodzi o Polskę.Zimą chciałbym jechać do Islandii i zobaczyć zorzę polarną i wykąpać się w gorących źródłach.Islandia to zimny kraj ludzi mieszka tam ok 400 tys i jest bardzo piękna .tylko lasów tam jest bardzo mało.być może zamieszkam tam kiedyś na stałe❤

I'm moving to Montenegro in a couple of weeks, so I'll be hiking there)) Even though it's safer in the western part of Ukraine, an incident at the beginning of the war (a rocket exploded close to me) reminded me to stay safe in any part of Ukraine. But, Montenegro hiking and cooking videos will be coming soon🥰

I'd love to and was thinking about it, but it's a war in Ukraine and it's illegal in Kiev to be outside at night, I'm planning to move to the other place and then will do this 🥰 Where are you from?

@@OutdoorfoodwithJulia My favorite dish would have to be my grandmother's Chowder. It's a cream based chowder with: haddock, salt pork, potatoes, onions, and baby clams. My mother now makes it for my family at Christmas. Does your family have a Christmas(or other holiday, not just winter ones ;) dish that you love? Would you consider making it if it's not too much to ask? Not necessarily out in the woods for that question, nor does that mean immediately. I am curious about your family/regional traditions :)
@@stormcry8202 wow, that sounds delicious but quite difficult to cook, I will see maybe I can do it in the woods)) As for us, the traditional Ukrainian food for Christmas is Kutia, made with wheatberries, poppy seeds, and honey, my mom also adds chopped walnuts and raisins, it's not that difficult to cook even in the forest. So, maybe I'll cook)) The other famous dishes are borsch and varenyky, some call them Ukrainian dumplings, they can be cooked with sweet or not-sweet filling, and they are truly tasty 🥰
