I think the question for him at the time was whether he could play the new Another Score with one hand and clear AAA in one pass. With two hands, he could clear AAA in almost one pass. I think it was Konami Development vs. LISU at the time, but when LISU was a graduate student at Tokyo University, he once showed me a double play clear of THE EARTH LIGHT with his back to the screen at an offline meeting. It was not memorization or preparation, but ad-libbing on the spot. I felt infinite possibilities in him. For him, IIDX must have been a kind of relaxation.

We as the music game players/fans in China colleges back in 2004-08 paid a lot of attention to this match. It was more than shocking to see the Ch guy (Ch is a Korean team) did a full combo on EFHD (original). The original version of EFHD is considered the hardest and very few players ever did full combo on it. But it just happened, and in Finals. It's incredible.
