Glad the damage from Milton wasn’t bad. I close on a house in Cape Coral mid November - so I’ll be out there in a month! Super excited to be living on the water and not having to tow the trailer for 4 hours every time I want to fish inshore. Life long dream to just lower the lift and idle out the canal into the river to bend a rod on some snook, reds, trout and tarpon.

Glad Milton didn't mess things up too bad, I was watching the tide gauge in Ft Myers and it thankfully only reached Helene levels so hopefully nobody's house got surged again. Seems like mostly power outages and your typical trees / pools screen type damage. I've got a contract on a house in Cape Coral so in a month I'll have my boat over there if everything works out on the deal. Can't wait to be fishing PI every weekend. We lost a family rental property in St James to Ian.

Of course I follow other fishing RUclipsrs some with millions of subs and seemingly endless budget but just wanted to say I enjoy your videos the most. It’s just real, good vibe, always grateful for what you catch. I’ve also never been a “secret spot guy” either where I hold them to my heart, blurred pics and won’t tell anyone where I’m fishing. I’ve always thought that was cool that you are honest with where you’re at. After all we’re all just trying to have a good time and catch some fish! So yeah - hope this finds you well. Talk about a honey hole, they were stacked up. Strange that you got the big ones first, normally the smaller snook are so aggressive that they get hooked right away.

Thanks for another great day fishing. We launched out of the spectacular Bokeelia boat ramp at daybreak. We got to the spot and both of us hooked up. Got a few really nice Redfish. One of them had no quit in his body and was pulling my Gheenoe around. Beautiful day, I appreciate these things. Thanks

Man that was an epic bite. I rarely keep fish but when I do I make sure there is NO doubt as to the size, if it’s even close I throw em back because the way rulers and tails go you have to factor in 1/4” plus / minus either way. Like you said live and learn. That cold rain sure stings when running don’t it LOL. Love the content man!

I was fishing the same days as the blooms and there were plenty of snook and tarpon behind D&D . Water was a little dirtier but the fish were there.

Pine Island Sound was looking good Sunday, but not everywhere, but damn mon that's crazy, prob from the waters from Sarasota area from flooding of hurricane Debbie... But Sanibel causeway was built in 1963 was the first bridge built....

Thanks for the updates. I’m moving to Cape Coral by years end and this is my fear… water turning to crap - it ruined Vero and all the places I fished on the east coast years ago. Thanks to how messed up the Everglades is Flamingo is a shell of itself. I know the sound gets red tide at certain times but it’s still the best bottom cover in the southern part of the state. Every place else the sea grass died off, it’s like fishing in a desert. When the water muds up bad it cuts out the sunlight which kills the grass. The grass filters and oxygenates the water, so once the grass dies the whole ecosystem shuts down. The Indian River is a huge dead zone, manatees are starving due the lack of grass. However the Chiquita lock has been stuck open for two years so I think the current algae bloom is just temporary due to all the rains over there from the tropical storm. Hopefully after a few good tide cycles it flushes out. Also the first cold front in late October should kill that junk. I sure hope so or I am about to flush nearly 800k on a house down the drain.
