I have put hostas under my fountain and created a lovely vacation spot for the slugs and snails. My Walkers Low Nepeta bloomed all summer when I planted with time release fertilizer, the same is true for Moon Beam Coriopsis as a nice lemon yellow color. I have read that Gaura is a bianial but maybe only in a warmer climate. I loved Wirling butterflies but it didn’t come back; maybe I over pruned it. Giant poppies are turn heads for folks walking past my yard- Livermore is a stunning red color.

Enjoyed tour, however you have forgotten my favorite, Hollyhocks. They are tall and would look fabulous through out your garden.Also perennial.
