Late Fall Lake Trout Trolling on Lake Michigan! *** Bonus.. Tank Smallmouth Bass! 11/23/2024
This has been an awfully warm fall. Water temperatures have finally dropped to 47 degrees on Lake Michigan. It's went from 58 degrees down to 47 in 3 weeks. We've tried jigging the port of Indiana 2 times with no luck, so we decided to get the trolling rods out and cover some water. Ended up 8/8 on Lake Trout and 1/1 on a really good Smallmouth Bass.

Word on the streets was that the Kings were in New Buffalo, Michigan. Max, Logan and I get an early start and ended up boxing out with 15 fish, 2 Kings at 19 pounds, 8 feeder Kings, 2 Coho and 3 Steelhead. What an epic day! Thanks for the support! Question about the proctor exam, is it a third party proctor or someone from MLS watching? And is the proctor always watching you?
@@gatoman2846 honestly I don’t think anybody watches you. I think they go and check the footage after the fact that’s why you can take it any time of day.

@@jayrobertson232 close considering we drive to florida a few times a year (17.5 hours). This was only 7. Drove down in the morning.
I don’t know how I missed this, but yes, they do come into your marina!!😂 (I try to keep a 40# bag of sidewalk salt in the truck bed when I’m doing this; saw a guy really bust his ass on glare ice on the ramp at Benton Harbor last March….ouch)

Do you ever try for perch inside the marina this time of year? Ours get loaded up with perch and other panfish just before freezing up. OBTW, loved that “two spoon” hookup! Had that happen with a 19 lb King off of Harrington Beach WI in 1982….crazy!

Nice job boys! I got a nice laker from the yak trolling a flicker shad a couple weeks ago but then the wind picked up so I skedaddled. I want to get back out but weather's not looking great, we'll see.
