@@SunRider69 His name is Chris Friel. He is a very well known drummer in Seattle bands from the mid 80s on. He started in a band called Shadow, with his brother Rick (currently in El Steiner- Chris, also), and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam. He played again with those two (and a few other well known Seattle musicians) in a band called The Rockfords. He has his own band as well, he calls it CFO (Chris Friel Orchestra). There are even more bands he plays with. He is always up to something, and plays in many "supergroup" type live performances. The bonus is, he's a super nice, humble dude that always has time for fans. There are two shows coming up next week. Will you be attending?

I played soccer against their original drummer. I was surprised he wasn't playing drums. Sounds like he has a great replacement. I haven't seen them live since they opened for AIC at the Seattle arena back in the day. I might go see them in Everett, they are playing with mud honey.

@@SunRider69 Yeah, I'll be at that show, up front, trying to get some footage. The original drummer is Paul Uhlir. He was at the Bush School show (the one we're commenting on), and actually played drums on a song. He also plays drums on a few songs at the Crocodile show on my site. He continues to have a good relationship with the band, and was told by Chris that any time he wants the position back, he can have it. A very decent offer. Paul is also a very nice guy. He once randomly offered to get my original self-titled New Rage Sweet Water CD signed by himself and the rest of the band, by contacting me on FB messenger regarding my post on the Sweet Water page. I thought that was pretty freaking cool.

He's a very soccer player too. Always a tough dude to play against. Respect

Who played bass,? I know they got that session drummer Matt Sorum for the drums.

@@lenaaustin6692 Jamie Stewart was the bass player from Dreamtime to Sonic Temple (inclusive)--he played guitar on the Electric tour. He left after being frozen out by Ian and Bill. Les Warner was the drummer for Electric (and Peace) and toured, I think, the Love LP as well as Electric. Then fired. Sorum came later.

My pleasure! I've always been a fan of both Triston (formerly in Hellbot), and his father Travis The Legend (Second Coming, Post Modern Heroes, Peace and Silence, Bruiser Brody). All of the music they create is KILLER. Now Triston has joined up with some amazing musicians and they are on the path to superstar status. It's really cool to watch, and I want everyone to see it.

I am so glad that you could see that from the video! It really was an incredible show. Walking Papers are ALWAYS great live, but this show was over the top. I'm so glad I went, and could capture 99.9% of it. Two more shows are already booked for this summer (different venues).

I 100% agree. I wish there was more video of the mid 80s to the early 2000s rock shows. So many GREAT performances went unseen by the masses. My entire purpose of this channel is to capture moments and memories of insanely good music that might otherwise be lost. I feel like a tool sometimes, holding my phone throughout the show, but I'm always watching everything above the screen, and am always happy later when I see the footage. Also on my channel: Moon Fever's FIRST live performamce with the new lineup and different songs, and videos of Triston's old band Hellbot, which was also totally killer. I have more Hellbot footage somewhere. I will upload it when I locate it. Be sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't. I just subscribed to your channel, as I see that you are also documenting/helping promote bands. Good stuff.

What an idiotic comment- do you have ANY clue how many shows around the world this man sang night after night for over 40 years? Oh yeah, and he got super f'ng rich with this voice too. Very much so. Never blew the shit out of his money like a lot of metal artists did. He didn't turn into a bloated fat ass- he stayed skinny and able to fit in that spandex and leather, didn't go bald....He's up on a stage and the audience is singing the words to the songs HE wrote because somewhere along the line they bought those albums, cassettes and CD's and the younger generations are STILL buying their music. Where's your audience that sings your songs with you? Didn't think so.

Pearcy is a freaking legend. I’d pay $100 to sit in the same room as him for 90 minutes.
