Stern is a mad scientist. Saw him when I was an early teenager at jazz jams at Poohs Pub in Allston, MA. A mile Up Mass Ave from Berklee, late 70's, 80's. He's always been a mad scientist.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. We’re playing two old Ibanez arch tops unplugged. Mine, on the right is an L5 type box made by Hoshino in the early 70’s. They became Ibanez in the 80’s. Ben on the left is playing a George Benson - first GB model - which he bought new in the 80’s while stationed in Hawaii while playing in the Navy Jazz Band. He still has a Gibson L5 he bought from Don Ho’s guitarist around that time.
