Wonder why they didn't keep the original 455 mated to the Toronado/Eldorado transaxle? Still a nice kit.

Any chance you remember what color blue you painted the Chevelle? Very nice. Any opinion of Testors vs Tamiya? They both seem to offer good options for those of us using rattle cans. Thanks

Maybe someone can help me with a question. My wife got me the extreme lacquer paint for my AMT model (67 GT350). I have it primed with the Testors gray primer already. Can I use their color shift base coat (it’s the only base coat I have at the moment) prior to the lacquer paint or should I just use the lacquer paint on top of the primer? The primer I used is the enamel primer from Testors. I really don’t want to mess it up and it’s by far the nicest build I’ve done so far.

I would like to build this kit stock I know this truck didn't come with a 302 engine with a fuel injection Does anyone know of a stock kit that would have a 1955 engine for a Ford pick up

That's a great looking kit. Funny, back in the late 60's it was all about the bright colors. Psychedelic colors and flower power. That's where that bright colored box came from, a product of the era. That may be the first kit I've seen molded in brown.

I picked up a later release just for the wire wheels, but they're too narrow for my use. I'll probably build it so,ewhat stock when I get to it.

Very helpful. I’m not ready yet to invest in an airbrush setup so this was great. But I do need to look into a small spray booth. Like any hobby, this could really add up in initial costs. Good video.

I like what you did with the Roadrunner build. I liked the paint options and paint codes you showed at the beginning. I had a no frills 1970 Dodge Challenger it was Ivy Green Metallic. I never knew the correct paint name and code for it.

Thanks, for me, sometimes the body color that comes is so nice I keep it naked, but then I paint the other parts according to the instructions....

Adam, I love seeing box art builds and for you to do it as a naked group build is even cooler. I've got a box art build going on now myself. They are a blast. It's like building as a kid again. I like all three of your builds. I'd say that your black build is my favorite and I hope you can find an engine. I haven't got one in my stash. Sorry

I'm happy to see you are wereing gloves I see so many people on RUclips spraying models with no gloves on. Do you put wax on after couple days drying?

I’ve been looking forward to this one Adam. I just snagged one of these myself for a great price and I am very glad I did. Maybe not as cool as the full kit but it’s a unique boxing and I think building the vintage fire chief version would be a fun way to go. I have actually looked through mine other than making sure tires are safe. Thanks for going through this. I think the fire department parts were a really neat addition. Good stuff
