I love how when Brent Spiner is talking about men wearing shorts in public being his pet peeve, someone shouts out "you're in Texas, it gets hot in Texas!" Dude, Brent Spiner is a native Houstonian, he knows it gets hot in Texas, he lived in Houston in the 50s and 60s, all the way through graduating from University of Houston, back when a lot of older buildings still didn't have central AC. As a Houstonian myself, I say he's right, shorts look ridiculous on a man in a restaurant or theater, or most places in public outside a beach or a pool, and even here in Houston in August, a nice pair of light cotton pants don't make you noticeably less comfortable than a pair of shorts.
