Prior to the 115, I saw you had a 90 E-Tec, I have a 1986 Rinker v153 with a 75 E-Tec. I'm just playing around with propellers. What propeller/speed did you have with the 90hp?
I can't remember what pitch it was, but towards the end I had bought a stainless viper prop for it to replace the stock aluminum. I didn't use a GPS to measure speeds but according to the dash speedo I was getting about 35 with the aluminum and 40mph with the viper

@@AD-jd8is as I state in the video you're commenting on, Im running a 19 pitch prop on this mercury ( ruclips.net/video/e3h14ZNb7UM/видео.htmlsi=dD5dC49w58F9oD-i&t=231 ). as I state in my above comment I dont remember the pitch on the prop I was running on a different outboard not featured in the video lmao

When I was 13 or so my father keep his boat at marina in lower Delaware there was a glastron speed boat that sat on a trailer I want that baby bad it reminded me of the one James bond had but I was a mercury man and still am

How do you do a hole shot? Do you just slam the throttle from zero to wide-open instantly or is it more gradual but accelerated?
I find it's best to slam the throttle from zero to wide open for the take off, then once you're on plane pull it back to cruise speed.

@@Fishing85 yeah the 4 cylinder Mercurys are great engines, but they're realllly quiet! Great when running it, but a little unimpressive out of the water haha.

It doesn't normally sit this long. Definitely just a case of me being busy for a couple weeks and not having a chance to clean it.

Hi there! I have the same boat, got it about 4 years ago on a whim, I live in California. I have to ask a really stupid question for someone who has had it for so long, but, do I need a bilge pump? I know close to nothing about this boat (or any boat) and I’ve been trying to learn as much as possible. I’ve been taking it out consistently for all these years and it runs fine. But I was reading about bilge pumps today and I definitely don’t have one in this boat. Just the drain plug under the motor. Any tips you have would be so appreciated!!!
I actually went the first several years with no bilge pump, if it got full of water Id just have someone pull the drain plug while I got the boat on plane. A little scary! A bilge pump is a good accessory to have, if you keep it in the water id definitely wire up an automatic bilge pump to be safe.

currently running a 21p laser 2. im probably underrevving a little, but hitting 50mph gps so Im pretty happy with the performance. I want to maybe try a 20p
