    Note to self questions: 1. Why are anti-bumping granules used? 2. What is the purpose of re-distilling? 3. What are all the reasons that your will not get 100% yield for your product 4. Why should distillate collected be put on ice bath? Prevents product from evaporating, increases product yield

    Phenolic -OH also reacts with strong bases like NaOH since it is considerably acidic. So shouldn't the moles of NaOH used be 3 rather than 2? That may also be one of the reasons why the amount of aspirin is coming so high.
