That's a very interesting development. I'll be sure to stay tuned and see how it develops. I was also under the impression that they were no longer in business. I do know that they make / made outstanding pieces of equipment. We have several of their implements / attachments and have been very pleased with their products.

I also have a shuttle shift LS that does the lion's share of the work bush hogging, discing, etc. Hopefully that'll pay dividends in longevity with the hydrostatic.

Thanks. My regional TYM friend is stopping by this morning to take a look. I was hesitant about diving in any deeper and possibly voiding some type of warranty. I did bleed the injector pump with the key on for several seconds.

That's a great idea. I had that happen initially with the number one filter and had to remove the bowl and reseat everything.

Yeah I mis-spoke when I said it wouldn't turn over. It does turn over but it won't fire. Air somewhere. My TYM mechanic friend is stopping by in a few minutes to fix it. Gun shy about voiding any warranties so I'll let him work his "sanctioned" magic.

I think it's between the injector pump and the injectors.

Just crank it over after you loosen a line and tighten it up once it starts running. Do it all the time when I run a tractor out of fuel

Love ours. Adjusted correctly they're hands down above a rotary cutter - just a bit more expensive and a bit more maintenance in my opinion.

I'll have to measure it and get back to you but yes, it comes with the flail mower. I did not have to shorten the shaft if that helps. I'll get collapsed and extended measurements for you this week (unless anyone here cares to share?).

@@hiddenacresoutdoors Thank you, and I appreciate that! I have a TYM 494 and a TMG offset flail mower. The PTO shaft that came with it is too short, and before I spend a few hundred dollars on a new one, I'm trying to make sure I get the right one.

I haven't forgotten you. I have an air lock on the kukje engine that the mechanic is trying to clear. It won't start at the moment and the flail mower is attached to the tractor. Ergo, I can't get the fully collapsed and extended measurements quite yet. I'll get them to you as soon as this thing is fixed.

Funny you should mention that! I did exactly that a few months back. Much cleaner, faster, etc etc. Works like a champ. I can't believe I waited so long to buy one!

The big selling point for me was the blade carrier. I like to be able to see the gearbox output shaft vs the doughnut arrangement on most others. Plus the metal was a bit thicker. I had an issue initially with the drive shaft but it was replaced about a month outside of the warranty at no cost. They even drop shipped it to my house! The Rhino is tough as nails and I've abused it in use. Just make sure to keep them serviced and they'll keep on tickin'. I do wish I'd opted for the 6' now that I have a slightly larger tractor though. Lesson learned.

Excellent reply and great points. I think I'll keep the Rhino rotary cutter for one of my fields that seems to grow big rocks. It's easier to sharpen cutter blades than to sharpen all of the hammers in my opinion. The offset and articulating aspect of the flail mower is an absolute game changer.

Yes, you can get replacement hammers for the Titan. I bought a pack of five with the machine and they also sent me replacement hammers for the ones I damaged when it ate the safety chains. Agreed on the Rhino rotary. It's a great machine.

Agreed. I certainly hope I don't run into those type of problems at the 60 hour mark though! One thing I do wish was different was the drive system. I'm not a fan of the 3 belt drive and would much prefer a gear driven system protected by a slip clutch. For the price point though I'll just have to settle with the belts and use the Rhino rotary cutter for very tall and lush grass. The hammers also require a lot more maintenance to keep them sharpened mainly because I use them to mulch up saplings and woody stemmed stuff down in the woods.

Ours is still running strong. The only thing I've done since we've had it is change out the spark plug once. I did order a carb kit for it off of Amazon because the gas bulb that you use to prime it finally developed a crack. It runs fine but leaks gas from the bulb which is a big no-no. Simple fix. Let us know how you like it.

I tried replying but it doesn't show up for some reason. Our hive did very well after getting rid of the aggressive queen. We had to do a split on it this Spring since it was doing so good. Both of those hives are booming at the moment. We'll harvest honey probably the first week of July.

Glad you enjoyed it. Always buy up when buying a tractor if you can afford it in my opinion. You'll find a hidden benefit in that the 494 is going to be much beefier and weigh much more than a lighter 35 HP tractor. That really comes in handy when trying to use the FEL or any pushing/pulling work for that matter.

There really aren't ANY tractors that are what we used to call "Built in the US of A" anymore. From Massey to John Deere to Kubota to Mahindra to anyone else you want to name, they have a lot or the majority of the parts actually built overseas. Everyone gets parts from overseas and assembles them in the US if they don't purchase the entire tractor pre-assembled from overseas. These however are indeed assembled in the US. I was down in Wilson, NC yesterday at the plant picking up a BY85 backhoe for this tractor.

Not the first problem. I will say that I do regret not opting for the better seat though. It can be a bouncy ride unless your lawn is smooth. Some people complain about them rattling but if you wear earplugs then that shouldn't be an issue. We love it. Solid as a tank. We went with the 52 since the 60 was going to be a few weeks longer to deliver.

We too bought our first Zero Turn on Friday 03/22/2024 "Gravely ZT-HD 52 inch"... It was a "still in The Crate" left over 2023 Model,,, $6,000.00 + $517.50 Tax,,, Free Delivery (the 2024 model was $500.00 more due to increase in this year's prices)... We've had heavy rain here in Little Rock so we get it delivered,,, Free,,, Tuesday morning... For the past 13 year's I've mowed our flat 2.5 acres with our "1982 John Deere 332 Yanmar Diesel 50 inch Lawn Garden Tractor"... It's a Beast but me doing 77 year's old this year it get's challenging throwing my right or left leg up over the steering wheel to get off,,, so I thought a New Lawn Cutting Toy was needed... My Wife and I did a lot of RUclips viewing researching the various Brands/Models and decided we didn't want a box store unit so we went with our local "Gravely" dealer... Tomorrow morning it arrives and I'll practice operating it going back and forth in the driveway... Then in a couple of days when the yards are dry I and the "Gravely" will doing some mowing !!!

My 2023 TYM 474C speed control lock does not work in reverse. I have a rear mount snowblwer and it would be nice. I do understand the safety aspect of locking speed in reverse.

@@user-ns9vz8pg6d the cruise control does not work in reverse, I wish it did too. Only forward, safety issue? Not sure, probably just saved some money, I think all the cruise is, is a magnet that is applied to the pedal.

It surely is a beefy machine. No regen yet but it only has about 40 hours on it. We have an EA toothbar on the other tractor bucket. I'll probably just switch buckets. We also have the EA 60" Wicked Root Rake Grapple that works like a champ. All I heard about EA is that there were lawsuits and counter lawsuits regarding the construction of their new plant. Their FB page has been paused so I suppose it's all still up in the air waiting on the courts. Such a shame. We have the Pat's hitches on the LS and will definitely add them to the TYM. I run it between 15 and 1800 RPM and auto throttle up most of the time. PTO work I set it manually to 540 RPM. Yes, the hardline are great and well worth the cost. We have a gun channel also btw! Just getting it started.

It's mainly my wife's hobby. I don't mind helping her but dang if it doesn't get hot sometimes! She really loves the harvesting part and the neighbors have all of the equipment since his Dad used to be a commercial bee keeper. Very convenient and a great time for all.

Interesting. As a factory issued warranty I don't understand why dealers down under wouldn't be willing to do the service work and bill TYM directly for any repairs. Different laws I suppose. They are great machines from what I've seen so far. I went with the 574 so that if the DPF craps out I can just run a straight pipe since there are no ECU's on the Kukje engine. Simple is usually better.

Especially when stuff is dry in the Fall.

That's exactly why I bought this model of tractor with the Kukje engine and no ECU.
