Convenient Cop (this never happens for me!)

Before this video starts these two cars were behind us tailgating and swerving around traffic. At one point we thought we were going to get forced from our lane as we were (quickly) overtaking a series of semi-trucks. As soon as we passed the line of semis, these two cars zoomed passed us as you see in the video. Even though we had discussed calling the police, which can be heard in the video, ...

Here is a compilation of all saved clips from my dashcam from the last year or so. Most clips from this compilation were filmed in the DFW/Arkansas areas with the occasional Colorado feature. Do note that I also have a radar detector which can be heard in some clips, please do not mistake it for the horn :) Date stamp is incorrect for all footage recorded in 2020. GLB Storm32 Homemade GoPro Gimbal Test
Просмотров 907 лет назад
Testing out the homemade gimbal system for my gopro hero 4 silver by just walking around the house. Notice it is night so the quality of video the gopro recorded isn't too impressive. What I was testing for was how smooth and stable the gimbal was able to hold the camera. This test was done after firmware flashing, gimbal balancing for the gopro, gimbal calibration, acc calibration, as well as ...
Whats the name of the part on the back that you swapped to color match?
8:39 I’d love to see a vid on how you wired the rock lights to turn on with the doors I would love to have that feature too
Nice build. Why'd you decide to change the trailer hitch?
That’s such a tastefully modded 4runner
Meticulous mods! Superbly done love it. By any chance did you make video of the head unit installation? I loved it and would like to upgrade mine. Its JBL audio head unit with factory navigation and back up camera.
So sick
I have a 99 limited and I guess it’s the classic nature of the gen3 but I don’t want to update anything to more modern stuff like TRd rims or a touch screen. I kinda love having something that is like it was taken from a time capsule. It all looks great on this gen 4 though.
Looking at a 2008 v8 4 runner limited 200,000km from a dealership. Sewer is asking $20,000 CDN. Carfax is saying the private sale price is $11,300. What should I offer the dealer?
I’ve sold 2 in the past with low miles. 1 was 03 had 200k 4x4 v8 and the other recently 04 160k 2wd. I’ve regretted both times. Next time im keeping it 😢
Can you link the control switch ? That look oem? They are flushed to the other 2 ones
This is nicely done. Congratulations
Absolutely love your build! I bought an 05 last month slowly bringing her back to life. So far I've done bilstein 5100 series front and rear, new control arms, new tires, new sun visors and next up is new wheels! Can't decide on the wheels. Great vid, cheers!
Also 900 for those tires... especially for 17s is a steal. I paid like 1200 for my ko2s I put on the stock 16" wheels.
Where did you find these mats? (09:35) They look great! I also carry my dog around everywhere and want to set up something similar. Great vid!
Cleanest 4th gen I have ever seen. Great job.
Damn 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Where did you get the switches for the center console & dash?
I have a 2004 4 Runner and have a little over 40,000 miles on it. It’s always been garaged. Love that vehicle.
40k??? where are you located?
@@jiimmyboi12 I was in Alaska for 15 years. I lived 2 miles from work and shopping.
@@DoogieDoggie okay cool. I have 2004 as well. Mine has 211k but I live in Florida so it’s never seen snow. Zero rust on the frame.
Hey can you share more on how you did your back up camera modification?
Wires were ran under the trim on the floor, through the cargo side panels, up to the spoiler, then a small hole drilled to run the wires to the mounting location on the center of the spoiler. The head unit has a trigger wire that connects to the reverse light circuit so it knows when to kick on.
247k miles on my 06 4Runner and still going. Super reliable and all stock
This is one of the simplest cleanest builds ive seen! Curious if you still have the same head unit in it
Yep! Still doing great. Appreciate the compliment.
If I don’t add the fan to my head unit will it eventually be damaged?
The original design doesn’t have the fan or heat sink and it isn’t a necessity to add. Adding doesn’t hurt and only benefits the cooling.
Is the front grill link on the description? I Really like it for my baby
It is not. I custom made mine with a grill off a Tacoma. Here is a similar style off Amazon: amzn.to/3JAetih
Where did you get your exhaust tip from does your 4Runner have a 4.7
I got it off Amazon, link in description with more details. I have the 4.0L V6
Can you do a video adding the fan to the auto head unit? 👍
What’s the paint called?
Galactic Grey Paint Code 1E9
Hey I just added you on ig I absolutely love your build and have a few questions
There's nothing 4runner related on my insta. What questions do you have?
Very nice build. I have a stock 06 v8 with 247k miles. I decided to check around for some ideas on a new look and this popped up.
Woah that's a lot of miles! Thanks for stopping by! There's plenty of things you can do for a new look, hope you found some things you were interested in.
Where's the Hi-Lift? the std 4r jack won't get a tire clear of the ground with a 2.5+ lift
Luckily I haven't had to change a tire out in the wild yet so I haven't had to figure this out the hard way. I'll look into being better prepared, thank you for bringing this to my attention!
This is awesome
Those wheels don’t rub?
They did before I trimmed some of the plastic around the mud flap and did the body mount chop.
@@Etch_A_Fletch_ thanks
How’s the ride quality? How’s the lift held up?
The lift made almost no difference to the ride quality, the addition of the aftermarket upper control arms is the main reason why that is. People will say you can do a spacer lift without changing UCAs but i think it’s best to do it. The highway driving is where it makes the biggest difference by keeping it going in a straight line vs swaying side to side. The tires on the other hand greatly reduced the ride quality. That’s to be expected going from smaller, lighter, all seasons to much larger, much heavier, much stiffer, all terrains. All in all still holding up great.
Bello alex will you convidrr selling the vehicle ..in high mileage ? If so i am interested
Hey thanks for the video. Planning to install a joying unit.. does it fit without trimming? any issues so far with it?
I had to make the screen stick farther out so it wouldn’t contact the side vents. I did that by getting longer screws and adding 25-30 washers on each screw to dial in the fitment I needed. Going on over 2 years with head unit now with no major problems. Every couple months it’ll restart randomly but I’ve found it won’t happen as often if I clear the cache every couple of weeks. The paint on the back of the monitor faded to a bronze color after 10 months or so. I brushed on some new paint and it hasn’t been an issue. I highly recommend the joying unit still!
@@Etch_A_Fletch_ Awesome, thanks for the reply!
Greetings bro, from which website did you buy the wheels?
I bought it from a Toyota dealer’s website a couple states away from me.
I will have to do a few of these on my 07 sport salsa red 4x4 4.7L v8 dual Arb Lockers Rig
That’s all the best options! Going to be sick! Enjoy.
Some very nice mods
Some amazing mods
Stereo is dope
Beautiful
sold me please
Nice job!
Thanks!
Beautiful Build Brother
Much appreciated
Alex in total how much would you think it ran you from buying it and all the modifications?
I bought it for $13k and I’ve probably added about $5k worth of mods into it. The big hitters are the tires/lift and then I also upgraded to leather seats. I’ll be making an update video soon on the leather install.
@@Etch_A_Fletch_ for sure can’t wait to see the upgrades you made to the trucks
Amazing build dude! What back up camera did you use that ties in the head unit?
It was the standard camera that was an add on from the Joying website.
How did you wire the backup camera ?? To the reverse lights or the license plate lights
A great innovative build. I really liked your video. You have great insights, just use a better microphone so we can hear what you have to say clearer next time!
Thank you!! I’ll be using a better mic next time 👍🏼
Awesome work. I've got an '08 and it's been fun upgrading it one step at a time. I just got the lift, rims and tyres done. Up next, the grill.
Nice work! So much fun modifying these cars to make them ours.
How’s the tablet holding up ?
Been going strong for just over 2.5 years now. Screen still looks the same as when I bought it. It’s far exceeded my expectations, especially in the Texas heat.
@@Etch_A_Fletch_ compatible with 5th gen?
Buyin one tomorrow, can't wait.
Congrats! You’ll love all the forum posts and videos online for mods and maintenance
Is the head unit still functioning great?
Yep! No issues other than the occasional restart once every two months
Can you fo a video on the leds ? Foe the instrument cluster
Check out the install vid by my buddy at tr.ee/Szre5QTMx3
