Agreement with local mine funds ponding project
Hard clay pan landscapes in the Narrabri region will be restored with funding from an NRAR enforceable undertaking with a local mine.
The funding will support a Northern Slopes Landcare water ponding project that aims to use water ponding to re-establish vegetation and improve soil moisture on difficult-to-manage land.
The project started in May 2024 with a workshop on water ponding and its benefits for landholders.
