@@adventuregames2903 yes, but then I miss out on an attack
Great video dude, i also run a Pika deck atm.. im only running one Zap.. not by choice but because i only have the one, but it will works fantastic could be worth it for getting a GIO in
Do you run bluestacks to play PTCP on PC?
@@maffiaguy123 I use ld player, but I might switch to something else because this one has been giving me issues
@JHugsPlays Ah alright, i've been running with lag issues with Bluestacks so I am just going to stick with the Ipad setup.
people saying to cut zapdos meanwhile fighting decks have the best winrate of the game.
@@gabriel-ij7dx yeah, I agree.
I saw you got into day 2 good stuff
@@eddie992 thanks for the support 💪
U streaming again sorry i fell asleep

Ok@@JHugsPlays
Also playing the zebsniper variant and the amount of mew's who keep hacking my circle circuit is too damn high, good to see the same thing is also happening in tourney setting.
Great content and I agree with pikachu ex being the most fun and skilful deck of the top 4.
I don't have a Zapdos. Ive been playing a surge deck instead. Doesn't feel as strong.
@@crazykev5 yes zapdos is essential to this deck
14:30 Adding a non-electric to your Pika deck is like shooting yourself in the foot, he’s effectively got 5 basics in his deck. If you saw my other comment that’s one of the worst things you can do in a Pika deck haha
9:24 I really like the list, but I wonder if maybe cutting a Zapdos for a Giovanni might be better than cutting Galvantula. I 100% see where you’re coming from to cut the Galvantula to 1/1, but honestly at that point, why not cut Galvantula all the way? From the statstics I’ve seen, running 7 basics total is usually optimal, but 8 is ok too. 7>8>6>>> anything else. I know Zapdos is a great wall, and honestly this deck does kinda needs the wall, but I think Giovanni would be better overall for some of the breakpoints. Pikachu 1 shotting Drudd, Galvantula 2 shotting Mewtwo are the two biggest ones I’m seeing, but I’m sure there’s more.
7 Electric Basics in a Pikachu deck that is, not 7 basics in another deck haha
@@pjanderson4876 I actually just played in another tournament and cut 1 Zapdos for 1 Giovanni. The gio felt good as I was able to 1 shot 100HP pokemon with pika + gio. But i did feel the lack of consistency with 7 basics, my pika was sometimes hitting for only 60 damage. I ended up going 6-2, not bad but could be better. I might cut galvantula completely like you said, I’ll have to do some more testing. I really like having 2 zapdos though for the fighting type matchup.
@ I agree 100%, especially with Zebstrika, tou need the extra tankiness and Zapdos always helps in the fighting match up. I usually run 2 Zap 1 Dedenne with Zebstrika. With Raichu, I usually run 1 Zapdos 2 Island Electabuzz or 1 Zapdos 1 Electabuzz 1 Dedenne. In a 2 Evo Pika Deck, I think 8 basics is ok, but then you start running into 20 card slot syndrome. You need this, you need that, etc. As much as I love Galvantula as a card, it’s just not as good as Zebstrika in the current meta, so any Pika deck that doesn’t run Zeb is going to struggle. Raichu and Electrode are kinda suffering the same fate unfortunately
@@pjanderson4876 I will keep testing and report back 🫡 pikachu ex is my favorite meta deck right now. Even though people hate playing against it, it takes skill to pilot imo
@@JHugsPlays Let me know if you want to run a game against a specific meta deck to test it out, I’ve got just about every card at 2 copies, except Arcanine EX and Kangaskhan. I can run all the top 10 deck except Charcanine I guess haha
Why not just run 1-2 of the galvantula line and Zapdos as a 1of? You lose some of the walking that Zapdos Can do but you could add 2 Gio or 1 Gio and 1 potion to improve consistency maybe. Love the content man, you’re so underrated!
Thanks! And yeah, I think just 1 Zapdos is probably fine.
Reducing basics reduces condistency
Dread on my naw made my day 😂
I would say, we called now the engine with Exeggutor and the new Exegg „Migrant-Exegg“. „Hey, what you think about the new „Migrant-Exegg“-engine?“ That sounds good, haha 😂 Lets make this name popular! The name of this deck, is now „Migrant-Alakazam“, in german, also known as „Migranten-Simsala“.
I would only run one regular exeggutor, you really only want it late game. Frees up a spot for another Erika or something
I don't even think that you need the normal ones either the ex is more than enough, rather use the spots for some versatile cards like Sabrina, Giovanni or even slab
@@lakwasredestdu5811 fair it’s probably not optimal but nice to have the option when you brick on alakazam, which won’t happen often cuz ex eggs gives you a lot of time. But psychic eggs is a fun card to play lol
11:12 is a misplay. If they retreated into Gyarados and attacked, they might've removed the psychic energy (or any energy) on Alakazam and you would've been floating up the creek. You needed two psychic energy and a third of either energy to ensure 100% you can swing back and win.
Yup, I realized and addressed that at 11:58
Charizard is still performing better bc Gary invalidates this deck
Does not matter how many energy you have mew 🤦♂️ you get one shot and then don’t one shot in return then get one shot again so long as your opponent is a semi decent player and doesn’t completely brick you lose
Played this exact deck before and it hard loses to Garydose
Correct, charizard is superior
You should of lost that Garydoes game only won because the guy you was playing let you win by evolving
Starmi ex is op
24:40 I love that not only did you show us the loss, even against a bad match-up, but you still played it out to the best of your ability, and then addressed the mistakes you made at the end without blaming it on the bad match up, draws, etc. That’s amazing integrity, and why I love your content so much!
@@pjanderson4876 thanks so much I appreciate it! I try to show at least one loss in all of my videos because you cant win them all.
@ Of course! Especially with these Off-meta decks, you’ve gotta address the major weaknesses and win cons against the major current meta decks. I hate it when a content creator is like “This Jynx/Electabuzz/Magmar deck is insaaaaaane, I got 5 wins with it” but they don’t show the 10 losses haha. Even the best decks can get bricked, and not every deck is gonna be a meta-stomper, but if you want to showcase an off meta card, this is the best way to do it!
@@pjanderson4876highly agree
I'm surprised they didn't include Pidgeotto when it can one shot almost every deck and also very good against Pikachu deck who likes to fill their benches
yeah i really like pidgeot ex too
I need a Mew
Don't get me wrong, the Aerodactyl is good, but I don't have it, not even one, then I have to play differently.
On the Golem Deck, I just did one change. Instead, the healing item I use is 1 Sabrina. Even with 2 Giovanni, it might work
I use plants with no Celebi, and I have beaten Aerodactyl several times. I figured it out to make it work against several meta decka all above level 35
I think Blastoise EX decks are still very much playable One of the builds I used the most throughout the Apex and Mythical Islands meta is the 4 Tank Build The idea is to build up the Blastoise in the back court, and tank the hits with the tanks in the front With the introduction of Mythical Islands, I combined 2x Druddigon, 1x Kangaskhan and 1x Articuno EX (regular version is also fine) with 2x Professor, 2x Leaf, 2x Sabrina, 1x Misty, 2x Poke Balls, 1x X-Speeds This deck is pretty versatile given its energy efficiency (3 energy for 100 dmg + 2 energy for an additional 60 dmg) As long as we can tank through the early stage, Blastoise can deal with most of the meta enemies (e.g. Mewtwo, Pikachu, Celebi) And since we can activate it with 3 energies, Blastoise can easily deal with any speedy decks (yep, Blaine) The weakness of the deck though, is that backcourt killers (Hitmonlee, Zebstrika) can easily disrupt you development That's where Kangaskhan shines.... a bit(?) with its EV of 30 dmg per hit Another weakness is common amongst other 2-tier evolution pokemons -- you can't evolve Blastoise So I added Articuno EX (or regular) as a second option in desperate times
great video btw, thanks for the detailed summary and analysis :D
@@kyklos11 sounds like a good list to me, I like the concept behind it. Thanks for sharing!
marshadow, hitmonlee, new primeape and old pidgeot has been a nightmare for every meta deck listed
@@guts7518 oooooo yeah that sounds good
Gengar EX deck, it's legit strong as it was buffed with mew and slab :)
Blastoise EX without Starmie but with Chatot and Aquana is easily Tier 2. Very underrated.
Honestly believe there is a better Gyarados deck. I have just released a video on the deck on my channel if u r keen to check it out and tell me your thoughts? Great video bro 😊
I run the same Greninja/Druddigon/Gyara EX line in this video, except I replaced Misty (fuck this badly designed card) for Sabrina instead, and it just works better due to its sheer consistency. Basically plays like a higher-end version of Melmetal where you just manually charge up your big wincon on the bench and swing twice for game essentially.
I quite dislike playing or playing against any druddigon decks they just aren’t fun
@@SevericK_BooM totally understandable.
Demn that drudiggon easily changed the meta. it alive the sniping Pokemons 😅.. back then Snorlax was used as walla but to costly to retreat. While on the other hand enemies start sniping your bench
@ yeah I’m getting kinda bored of druddigon myself even if it is a good card
Just play sniper Pokémons (Hitmonlee, Lumineon etc)
I like playing it in my Pidgeot deck where it is actually a offensive threat aswell. Other than that i totally agree.
Alakazam shines in a dual energy deck
@@MitchellPSmith-hl9fu what would be the second energy?
@ grass. Eggs ex. With the new execute you can correct if you get physic energy first
I like this decklist alakazam is just hard cause stage 2 and squishy
@@antacumboworld8206 I agree. I thought it would be more fun to share some off meta decks. But it seems like people might actually prefer seeing the “best” decks.
@@JHugsPlaysI like Mewkazaam
Very cool; thanks for the deck profile.
@@GrandisKuwagamon appreciate it! Thank you for watching and commenting.
I really like the combo of Zeb and Galvantula in a Pika deck, neither the bench or the active spot is safe! I think I would cut the Electabuzz though, this deck is already pretty mon-heavy, and Electabuzz fills a very similar niche to Zebstrika. I would probably put a Giovanni in its place, to help Pika one-shot Druddigon, but I could also see a Leaf to act as the 3rd X Speed which can be key with getting Zebstrika in to pick off a Magikarp quickly.
I think this is a solid deck list, but it’s unfortunate because competitively speaking I don’t think Golem can hang with the big dogs. One of the major upsides of the fighting roster right now is fast aggression, with Primeape going first, Hitmonlee to poke the backline, and Marshadow for the revenge plays. I think mixing fast aggression while building to a good win con in the back is a great combo, but Golem just falls a little short of the mark unfortunately. It’s an 8 card combo if you include Brock, and Machamp can do basically the same thing without the need for Brock. I do like mixing the weakness of Golem and the other fighting mons, and Golem has better survivability over all, but I’d rather have some Sabrinas or Giovanni’s than some Brock’s honestly. You can also run Aero to save even more cards and really play into the fast aggression. This deck will probably do VERY well in NOEX and will still rack up a lot of wins on the regular ladder, but I don’t think it will see much competitive play.
@@pjanderson4876 appreciate the insight and feedback! Yes I mentioned I don’t think this is the strongest fighting type deck but it was still fun to play.
@@JHugsPlaysI agree. I’ve been testing out the Primeape/Aero deck that topped the Swiss Rounds of Ursii’s tournament this week. About a week ago I tested out the Drudd/Golem as well, but it just felt too passive. I think this deck is definitely an upgrade to the Drudd/Golem deck, and fast aggression is always fun!
@@JHugsPlaysI respect your content a lot though, I feel like we have very similar styles of deck building, and I always love seeing you post a new video!
@@pjanderson4876 thank you so much!
@@pjanderson4876 I think you're spot on with your assessment of the decks. I've been playing that primeape/aero deck too and I'm loving it. I played a ton of blaine before mythical island dropped and what I love about the primeape/aero is that it feels how that old blaine deck felt to play back then, but it feels way less linear to play so it's more fun. Lots of attacking and switching pokemon in and out, mankey/primeape kinda feels like ponyta/rapidash, marshadow feels like ninetails, and the hitmonlee and aerodactyl add a lot of new ways to mess with the opponent. Also feels awesome to destroy pikachu decks with the weakness, as well as the darkness decks like weezing/scolipede.
Dedenne is only good in the raichu variant in my opinion. Ive had quite a couple games now where I attack a mewtwo with dedenne, para it only to finish it off next turn with raichus 140 attack
@@darkragee7496 yeah that makes sense to me
No shot
@@Yellow-parenti yes
One thing I like about Pikachu EX is that Mew can't really copy his move well as they need electric pokemon on the bench. A lot of my opponents think they will do 90 damage aswell but they end up doing 0 and just conceding. Which you could have maybe done against your opponents Mew when it had more health as he wouldnt do much damage.
Yup that's a good mention
ive been winning with joltik, zapdos, pikachu. adding more pokemon makes it harder to build galvantula. its quick low damage and you have to be dealing 30 damage turn 2 or you will lose.
Can you please tell me the full build? I'm missing a zebstrika, so trying to work around that
My deck has this pokemon lineup except for the electabuzz, dont feel the need for more bench sniping
This is a cool build but right now the most consistent build of pikachu is 2 pikachu EX 2 normal pikachu (the mythical island one) 2 raichu (Genetic Apex) 2 electabuzz (Mythical Island) 1 dedenne 2 Lt. surge 2 sabrina 2 research 1 Giovanni 2 pokeball 2 X speed Also keep in mind that Lt. Surge also works with electabuzz and not just raichu
I think you don't understand the point of dedenne. It's a tech card that you can play as a last resort to stall a turn
Exactly, it's the last roll of the dice when all other techs are out of reach. But with my RNG luck, it's always tails 😂
@@MrAmakna I understand, I just don’t like the card.
im playing duo lines galvantula and zeb too. ill try new buzz
Dedenne is so clutch if you need it and it works tbh, but I only run it with zeb cause otherwise Electribuzz prob does more.
