I forgot to mention that the velcro straps that I use are from a company called Envisioned. You can find them on Amazon. They are great quality and affordable. Get the 2" wide straps, whatever length you want, and make sure they are the ones with the metal buckles and not the plastic buckles. I got a variety of lengths and they all come in handy! Highly recommend.

    Excellent job! I'm strongly considering buying a TB on my 22 NC750. Couple questions if you have time to reply... are you still happy with the TB performance? What wire did you tap into for the "switched power"? What's the maximum amperage the TB can accept for each accessory?

    • @TheDreamcycles
      @TheDreamcycles 2 месяца назад

      @@Richard-dh8ny Thank you! I absolutely love the performance of the NC750X. It can be a very docile and easy to ride bike if you want but then you can make it feel really quite fast and aggressive too and the motor attacks. I never tapped into any of the main wires because the TB attaches to the battery just like a battery tender does and so then you just add any accessories to the TB and that's that. Makes it so easy! There is a 16amp and 32amp version depending on how many accessories you want to be able to attach (up to 4 or up to 8), but in terms of the amperage PER accessory then I think it's 16amps but you might want to double check that. Definitely enough for most accessories I think. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

    My issue with this bike is the placement of the centre stand which is virtually impossible for me to use unless I park the bike on a 3/4 inch board. If I was 6 ft 3 with weightlifter legs it might be ok . But since I am a 74 year old rider The muscle required to put the bike on the centre stand for me at 5 ft 8” is impossible. I guess I better carry a piece of lumber with me at all times If I want to or need to use the Center stand. Otherwise, a super great bike.

    • @TheDreamcycles
      @TheDreamcycles 2 месяца назад

      @@edvoth When I first installed the centerstand, I thought I had installed it incorrectly because I couldn't put it down and I'm 6'2" and 46. Initially I had to use a prop or a hill But then I practised the technique and I can do it much better but I have to agree that it requires quite a bit of force! Sometimes I still can't do it on the first try. If you only need to put it on the center stand at home then I would recommend putting on swing arm spools and using a trackstand instead.

I’m 6’4” and probably 300 lbs with my boots, jacket, & heavy backpack. I get to 70 mph and the vibration is too much to bear. I’m not keen on riding the highway regularly but it’s a necessity if I need to go into the office. I’m a quirky guy too, have a Honda Ridgeline truck - the only truck with a trunk - so having a motorcycle with frunk seems so natural to me now. The practicality of having a bigger seat, frunk, more power and other small perks will likely improve your overall experience. I think you have cut your teeth on the rally and have learned invaluable skills because of it but you might like the NC even more. Funny, because I really like the Ridgeline too! Quite a stack of gear. I have been commuting 70 mi each way on mine lately and it works pretty well for me with the Top Sellerie seat that I got b/c of your review. I threw on a cheap rear rack and did some 3-D printed parts to make a Harbor Freight drybox go on the back. Not a ton of room, but enough for me probably to go anywhere indefinitely as I am a really light packer (I take a 20l daypack for a trip to Europe...) HF dry case is ugly but it fits my airbag vest with back protector in daily use. Small backpack with computer fits in there for commute. Holds a case of beer plus a little room for more stuff. I just realized I never put up a quick little video on that. I should... I have long legs (I'm 6'3") and I put drop pegs with angle adjustment on and I immediately couldn't get used to the feel on the right. My legs have never cramped up so I took them off. Maybe I'll try again later. I couldn't get the brake to feel right on the right. I also haven't installed my bar risers STILL, getting used to them where they are. I also find the power is plenty for me. I don't ride to go fast or tempt fate in twisties. I just like a nice inexpensive cruise and commute with no drama. I was going to do a suspension upgrade b/c the sharper hits were so harsh on my back, but the SEAT change made those tolerable.

      @@SethJayson Thanks for watching and your detailed reply. I love how you have made the bike your own by figuring out what YOU like. The NC750x makes the perfect platform to customize how you like. I would say that unless putting the bar risers on/off is easy than don't worry about it. That was the one mod that I didn't feel was as necessary as I originally thought and if I was to do it over then I probably have just rotated the stock bars a little bit forward instead of putting in all the hours to install the Rox 2" risers. Anyway I'm glad my review of the seat helped you! It's an awesome bike, enjoy!

Yea, the bike was rock solid even with all the gear but here's my disclaimer: I strapped everything down super tight, kept heavier items low and evenly distributed, and I took it real slow and checked all the rigging after 30 mins of riding just to make sure it stayed tight. My trip was only 2 hours. I would pack a little lighter if I was traveling further than that. Plus having the center stand made it much easier to load and strap everything down evenly. I would probably not use the seat cover anyway and opt for the front fairing and new belly pan hoobue has, but this is great just to check out their build quality, though.

      Yea, build quality and fit was great. Color match was really good too, just not as scratch resistant as the original body work on the bike.

    I have 34 inch inseams... and on a bike like that one... I would put an additional set of foot pegs on the engine guards for me to rest my feet on.

    Great, now I have to get a new seat too😢. Just kidding, nice upgrades. I too have installed the Givi upper guard and additional front lights (Clearwater Darla-love them!). I’m going to consider your upgrades especially that seat, thanks!

      Lol! Trust me, there is a point when you will complete all the mods and you won't need anything but the open road! The seat was definitely the crown jewel for me. I've heard lots of good things about clearwater lights! I'd like to try them someday. Thanks for watching!

    Is the fuel filler not under the pillion seat? Refuelling is one of the only frustrations I have with my Nc700 when packing luggage for a longer trip, trying to get access to that filler without having to unstrap everything.

    • @TheDreamcycles
      @TheDreamcycles 5 месяцев назад

      You're absolutely right! It is but luckily my trip was only 2 hours away so I made it on a single tank of gas otherwise I would have been annoyed. The rear positioned gas tank has its bonuses but sometimes it's a hassle and trips with lots of baggage attached would have to be planned strategically. Usually I like how it forces me to get up and stretch. Thanks for watching!

    Hallo Friend, what is the brand and type from the givi bracket. I cant find it in Europe. Do you nee other brackets to install? Greetings from the Netherlands.

    • @TheDreamcycles
      @TheDreamcycles 5 месяцев назад

      Hello to the Netherlands! 👋 Here is the link to the givi top plate bracket that connects the Honda OEM rear rack and a Givi top box. Keep in mind that the picture on revzilla is not accurate. It actually looks more like a flat, grey, metal plate. And the Honda OEM rear rack doesn't come with the bike. You have to buy that separately. I hope that helps! do you have plan to change the exhaust ?

    • @TheDreamcycles
      @TheDreamcycles 5 месяцев назад

      Funny you should ask that because I JUST installed my new exhaust TODAY! It 's the full Flanker exhaust by Kelpi Moto. I've always been a little bit skeptical of doing an after market exhaust but now I've seen (heard) the light. It's awesome! I should have a video of it up soon. Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@TheDreamcycles not many option for full exhaust xsr900, the exhaust mt09 do u think is fit for xsr900?

    • @TheDreamcycles
      @TheDreamcycles 5 месяцев назад

      @@goomaa88 I think some exhausts that fit MT09 will also fit XSR900. Exact same engine. But you have to double check that it is made to fit the frame of the XSR900.

    What type of tires do you recommend? I have a 21 and C750 love it.

    • @TheDreamcycles
      @TheDreamcycles 5 месяцев назад

      Hey! Thanks for watching! So, to be honest, I don't have a lot of opinions about tires. I've had 8 different bikes and never found a set of tires that I didn't like but it all depends on the terrain you're on. My CB750X has Metzeler Tourrance Next tires and they have been just fine. On previous bikes I have opted for Michelin Road tires as they seem to be good with the damper conditions in Seattle. That's all I can really say. Sorry but thanks for watching!
