Nice looking stove good job mount a fan behind it
I set a box fan behind it to move air across it seems to help.
Wood stoves are out of reach for most and most of them are govt regulated china made junk got an airtite barrel stove kit with gasket doors going in my home soon ill use stove caulking cement under the flu and door frame to get a good seal and line the bottom with firebrick with a grate
I think if you put a heat exchanger like a magic heat you’ll be in business.
yep keep making videos like this, but sure do love your Nova
Hopefully have another nova video up in a couple of months. I’m working on a 72 c10 right now it will be the next couple of videos.
Where can you buy these.any part numbers
Summit speedway Amazon. 51535 51515
i am building this now. where can I get the flue pipe cheap?
I got mine at Lowe’s
straight to the point, straight forward.
My bad
Never mind
Pretty much useless without close ups of what you are unbolting and why etc. 😢
Just out of sinus surgery... binge watching your videos... awesome work!
Thank you!
A couple of suggestions would be a line lock and an air cleaner box with a tube to mount on carb where a could ram in from the front of the car.
I thought about doing a line lock for burnouts. Don’t know if it would help much on the staging lanes. The only thing about the box is it would take away from the classic look I’m going for but it’s definitely an option. Thanks for the comment.
The Airgap is a much better intake manifold, not surprised it picked up a few tenths at the track with that change. As for not running good with an air cleaner, that's probably because you got the carb tuned in without the air cleaner which definitely has more airflow meaning it wanted more fuel. Restrict the air flow without dialing back the fuel, it's probably running super rich with the air cleaner on. I'd definitely try to run the largest air cleaner you can, 14x4 if you can manage it under the stock hood, but probably not, at least not without a drop pan. Anyway, I'm sure you'll get it sorted.
I’m thinking about trying the k&n air cleaner top for more flow. I’m currently running a 14x3 with a drop base.
@@TheBobbyb918 the filter top/lid should help a good bit in that case. a drop base with only a 3" filter means all the air squeezes through like a 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" space over the center of the carb, really kills flow, so anything you do to help open that up will help for sure.
good to see you back
Thanks sometimes it’s just hard to find time for RUclips.
@@TheBobbyb918 I understand it just a really nice car and you make great videos
I like it. Does it leave a lot of dead space between the front of the box and the air cleaner housing?
Not really just enough to collect trash.
Well done. Will build one for my son’s mechanical shop
That's an awesome build. Thanks for a great video !
Thank you.
I would like to thank you for the video on the TCI 4 link it was a big help I probably couldn’t done it without watching your video
That’s awesome glad I could help. Thanks for the comment.
Hahaha butthole grease 😂 drinking a beer eating some Mexican food and heard this shit in the background. Great video man Good Friday night entertainment
Thanks.
A charcuterie board on top of the toolbox. NICE. Need to be slicing up some brisket or steak. And now I have one more thing to do for mine. LOL. How the struts holding it? I just got done with the double stack. Very nice job.
With the new boxes the struts don’t really have to hold it up so it works out pretty good.
I would give it away
Lol!
Sir the way things are going ? If we get hit with a nuke about 150 to 200 miles above us day in N.C or Delaware and say Ohio No electricity for God knows how long , at least with this truck you have transport. Far better then walking. If you have to bug out for some reason Me ,l say rehab the truck put it back on the road sir you mite need it. 1,000s of guys are doing this . Best of luck to you l,lol be watching. I sub to you.
The plan is to get it back on the road. It probably won’t have any electronics so I guess it would be good as a bug out vehicle.
Is that penitrol a clear coat?
Also those bolts are called clutch heads
It’s a paint additive and rust protection from what I’ve read. It seems to dry as a clear coat though. I’m curious how long it will last being out in the weather.
Thank you. I don’t guess I’ve ever used clutch head bolt. before.
A warmed up 6cyl with a 5speed from an s10 or ranger would make it a nice driver.
I feel like it deserves a v8 of some sort.
@@TheBobbyb918 so new front clip and power steering?
Looks like this is 2 years old and honest to God this is the first time I have ever made a comment on a RUclips video... But I wanted to let you know I'm fixing to build this and I think you did wonderfully. Annnnnd, Beth is my spirit animal.
Thank you. use the cheap blue filters they seem to work the best for me.
can u help me wit my build
Whatca building?
@@TheBobbyb918 63 ss. Just removed the engine. In the process of taking off trim. In the front of the car now removing fenders but I had a spinning bolt bottom of the rocker panel. Idk what I’m doing I just know my grandpa is 83 years old and he saved the car for 30 years for me and I plan on getting her back on the road within a year to see a huge smile on his face. Looking to put a 5.3 in there. Coil overs and a mini sub gram upper and lower arms
Good luck on the build one year deadline is kinda tight I hope you get it done.
I had a bolt do that I held it with channel locks and cut it off with a sawzall
@@TheBobbyb918 lol I agree. I’m just putting the pressure upon myself to get it done. Even if it’s tad longer I’m super motivated.
Nice job on the body work looks awesome
From a distance that’s all that matters.
great project! Thanks
It’s honestly pretty handy I use it all the time.
Looks good man, you've come a long way!
Thank you
Mid 12's first time out and with a the carb being a finicky, that's rock solid man. Once the carb is dialed should get into the low 12's maybe even high 11's. As for that carb bog, if the idle circuit is happy and the WOT is happy, then you have to look at the accelerator pump cam and squirter. Get a couple squirters both higher number and lower number than what you have and the cam kit for the accelerator pump. Probably going to take a little trial and error to figure out which way to go (up or down) as the motor has to be underload when you wack it open to know if it's happy with the squirter size. Regardless, super cool to see this car come together.
Thanks. I just recently ran across your channel and watched some of your videos. I’m jealous of the wagon one day I’ll have one.
@@TheBobbyb918 haha right on. Yeah, I love the wagons. This one kinda snowballed into more of a project than I was planning originally but it's getting close to being a driver again. Hopefully in the next couple weeks. But yeah, definitely get yourself a wagon, they have serious cool factor! haha
Your master heat shield is on point. One possible improvement would be to slot the holes so you don't have to take the nuts all the way of the master cylinder studs to remove the heat shield (looks like it might interfere with removing the valve cover is the only reason I say that). Hope you don't mind, probably going to copy that concept for my car when I get there. She does have a nice chop to her, getting real close to hitting the street for the first time, which means the first 1/4 mile lick shouldn't be too long after. haha
It made it really hard to check the oil the dipstick is directly under it. Other than that it seems to be doing its job.
@@TheBobbyb918 Hadn't even thought about it blocking the dip stick but Yeah I can see that. Another good reason to slot the holes so that all you have to do is crack the master nuts loose slide it off and out of the way during servicing, they slip it back in and sinch the nuts. I'm all about the simple effective budget friendly solutions and think you nailed it with this one.
Nice job, good clean wire install. And the kill switch setup is on the money, through the reverse light is the cleanest way to do it in my opinion. As for the park lights, you probably have this figured out by now, but it's normal for them to be off when the headlights are on. Front park lights are only on when the light switch is one click out (head lights still off).
It turned out being the bulbs not grounding properly They work now.
I did my rear openings the same way. They turned out nice. Take some black spray paint and spray a light fog on it for a guide coat.
Great video, Bro! I love the creativity, your attention to detail, and the use of repurposed materials. I recently bought the same model tool cart in slate gray. I just happened to have a large roll of gray floor covering material that I salvaged from a construction site. I used it for my drawer liners, top lid, and side shelf. It looks decent but nowhere close to looking as good as yours. I'm using velcro to keep the covering on the lid because I didn't want to drill holes, but once the "new cart" feeling leaves, I just might follow your lead! Enjoy!
Yeah I didn’t feel good about drilling holes into a new toolbox but I’m good with it now though.
I know this is an old video but I had the same issue with mounting the shocks. What I found was the instruction did not say to use the small spacer on the top and it said to use the 1 1/2 inch spacer for the bottom. I measured my bigger spacer that they sent and they are 2 1/2 inches. If I leave the spacer off the top and measure to the shock on the bottom it’s exactly 1 1/2 inches. I cut the bushing down to 1 1/2 and everything lines up.
I’ll have to measure the bottom spacer and see how long it is.
Very cool idea.
I love it , what a lost concept, a hot rod that looks like it's not fresh from the junkyard.
She’s no beauty queen but at least she’s not a patina princess.
Sounds good, your doing great job
Nice gasser 🎉
That is a really nice car
Sweet gasser yes sir !!!!!
The special washer on the leaf spring bolt helps to center the leaf spring in the mount as well as to help the suspension articulate during driving conditions.
Doing a nice job
Thank you
A bit too much fuel. Little tweaking to go yet
For sure. That was first startup.
Maybe try some new double spring 6013’s. Could have single sping bulbs in there 🤷🏻♂️
The bulbs had some corrosion on them where they connect. I replaced them and the socket and they work now.
Parking lights don't come on cars under 68 with headlights on
That’s what I been told. They do now. I replaced the headlight switch with the one from the wiring harness it’s setup so that they do.
thanks for the video . I am enjoying this build
Thank you
That's music.
62 to 64 chevy novas. When you turn the headlights on. The parking lights will go out. There is a wire on the headlight switch that you can jump to make the parking lights stay on with the headlights. A quick Google search should pull up the diagram for you.
I got they to work it was the bulbs and I added a ground to them. It doesn’t have the factory light sockets or light switch in it anymore. Thanks for the info and comment.
Rip & Beth 😂...no but for real, thanks for the video! Great job! Helped me figure out what I need to do now with my project
Very nice! Well done. I will make a similar one, Thanks.
