I have a tangula 5x and cannot find the PICTURE, after clicking on device preferences.
reset to factory default.
This worked perfectly. No more buffering, so now I can actually watch the KC Chiefs game without getting pissed about it buffering at the worst times. Thank you

Update the power cord on these boxes sometimes fail why the box shut off.

There's an update to tangtv app to version 3.0.9.18 here's the url for the download. tinyurl.com/tangtv18 if you have 2023 version of tanggula x1 x5 or elite max boxes go to tastore in apps to get new version. I will post a video when I get home.

Clear cache clear data force stop then open.....works for me.. try all the steps first without clearing data

I don't know if you can help with this, but I've downloaded the update & when I try to open TangTV, I get an error saying "the device type is not tanggula device". Any idea?

What the heck is a vpn ?
VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. It's a service that you can pay for that hides your location and encrypts your data while connected to the internet. There are several ones out there I one I use is VPN Unlimited from Keep Solid because its lifetime membership, but there are better ones that offer monthly and year subscription like Nord VPN and Express VPN. I unplugged power cord for a few sec.... The buffering stopped.
yeah I recommend that everyone should unplug box when not in use. When you unplug it do it from the outlet and NOT from the back of the box because the tang box is plastic and over time from unplugging and plugging it in the power port develops a short.

SOLUTION!!!! Found by another Youtubber.... Was having problems with buffering every 2 min for 3sec. Very annoying. ****UNPLUG the "POWER CORD" for 5 seconds.***** Buffering stopped. 💛💛💛
I am experiencing buffering and lagging. It is getting worse. Yes, my remotes are experiencing same issues. I have Spectrum internet with their router and modem. Spectrum came out and checked all connections at my location and tested fine. Tanggula stated their end was good but they suggested using a VPN. Thoughts? Thank you.
If your internet provider is throttling your speed because they detect what you're doing online they may do that. Past weekend was buffering a bit but it's been good past 3 days. Are you connect via wifi or ethernet. And what is your speed?
My tangtv won’t open anymore it says error 01 what can I do to fix this

So I've cleared data, un-installed then re-installed several times and still getting the issues of the app starting them just stopping and closing almost instantly. Any info on this?

@@NO-END Well my new best friend, I have 3 boxes 1 tanggula elite Max (about 4 movie and TV apps) and two Superbox elite 2's (same as tanggula box 4 movies and TV apps). I love them because I receive everything with these boxes. However I wish that I knew the little tricks that could make them even better e.g. is there a way program the channels so that you can press a button and get the previous channel? Also can I side load my superboxes to get certain apps? If so how? My Tanggula Max doesn't have a cache cleaner button that I can see. Is there a way to install this button? If not and I have to download cache cleaner from google play, which one is the best and easiest to download? Also what are the best Kodi FREE addons to use? I know that you have the knowledge and I would love a channel that did little stuff like that to make a freeloader like myself more aware of freebees. LOL

Update works, but still have buffering issues 😢
What I did for my coworker is factory reset the entire box and reinstall everything over again. Doing this though you will have to start from scratch.
Didn't work for me after 1 hour buffering returned 😢
Hi bro I am Jamie I have the red tanggula 4GB 128GB I dent have no problem no buffing I have 2 of The ZYF z10 air mouse remote it's the best remote control you can ever buy I updated my box last month
Thank you for the info. Can your air mouse control tv function? I have w3 air mouse and it does not turn tv on and off I have to use the tangtv remote to do that why I don't w3 air mouse too often.

I have spare box that I'm selling to a Co worker that was buffering. I factory reset the tanggula x5 and reinstalled tang tv and now it does not buffer. You could try that and see if it works.

Hi I'm looking for some help I did the update but my issue is now when I tap the tang app the screen says tangtv and blinks and back to the homepage everytime. Not sure what to do
Make sure that you clear data and then uninstall all versions of the tang TV app then reinstall it.
@oldgoat50 No, I'm helping Cesar with getting the app installed. Since I did the update the buffering has greatly reduced. It buffers when I first plug the tanggula in for like 5 to 10 minutes then it stops. Sometimes when turned it on doesn't buffer at all.

What is internet speed, and are you still on wifi?
No direct line to the box still having to go out of the app go to settings clear cache go back into the box clear cache on settings in the please help thank you

just a tip when filming using your phone if you film with phone on side not up your video will fill screen and be easier to see

I have a paid subscription for PIA (Private Internet Access). It will not install properly and work on my Tanggula X5 box. Neither PIA or Tanggula can help. I wonder if using a VPN might make a difference with the buffering issues that I have been experiencing with Tanggula? I have a SuperBox Elite 2.0 connected to the same tv, connected via an HDMI switcher so that I can switch boxes on the fly. I have no buffering issues with the SB. That box has PIA installed and running. Both boxes are connected via ethernet, but of course the SB only has a 10/00 port. So, I am using a USB 3.0 to gigabit adapter on that box and get about 225Mbps. On the Tanggula box, the speeds are typically about 820Mbps.
VPN are more for security I have issues sometimes so I will use different protocol and turn off VPN to test. No VPN would work best because VPN will slow down speed through encryption. However, if you dont use A VPN your ISP could potentially throttle your speed making it buffer. Best to experiment because different methods work at different times and situations. Sorry for the long answer but only way for me to explain it.
change the UI mode for the app to normal. Log in. after that set it to TV and you'll be good
Hello everyone there is a new bug introduced into this version. DO NOT USE THE HOME BUTTON WHILE IN THE TANGTV APP!! It will work fine in everything else. You will have to keep hitting the back button exiting and reentering the app until you can completely exit. It's almost like they made the app like a browser. Only use the back button only to exit.

yes I was having issues as well I don't think it's fixed but I did some tweaks with my VPN so now both boxes are not buffering. I will keep monitoring this as we more forward.
