ITV2 idents - 2006-08 - Clean and Full
Today, ITV has rebranded its channels, as the main channel has reverted back to ITV1 for the first time since January 2013, so I decided to upload one of my drafts from January, and they are the clean ITV2 idents from 2006-2008.

BBC One final closedown 1997 with 2021 logo (Mock)

The final BBC One closedown happened 25 years ago yesterday, so for my first mock, I have done a BBC One closedown with my own twist, by adding the 2021 BBC One logo and upscaled it into widescreen. And also, it is the final one, so it makes it even better. Credit goes to Lemurnecks for The BBC One green screen. I do not own this content, all copyright goes to the BBC and Lambie-Nairn.

Although today should've been the day that ITV was reverting back as ITV1, apparently it has been delayed to the 15th, so just for the sake of it, here is a selection of the ITV1 idents shown here in full and announcerless from the short-lived "Emotions" era from January to November 2006. I do not own all of them, all copyright goes to ITV plc and Red Bee Media.
UKTV idents 1997 (Clean and Widescreen)

Today is the 25th anniversary of the UKTV network, and also UK Gold's 30th, so what better way to celebrate by posting the 1997 UKTV idents in widescreen! All of UKTV's idents from 1997 were made in widescreen, but these were only broadcast in 4:3. Despite this, All of these idents were used until May 2001, except UK Gold's which were reused for UK Gold 2 until the 2001 rebrand, and UK Arena us...

I don't know why, but I like these idents as the ones that came after them. Something about how they can change seemingly from fun and happy to sad and sombre is what I think makes a good TV ident. Specific genre channels are obviously an exception.

How did you find better-quality audio of BBC One's 11/09/1997 closedown? Just being curious.

I think it was because the ITV board didn’t like them, as they were quite dull, as such, they were replaced after 10 months with the “second phase” which were used from November 2006 until January 2013.
@@nikobellic478 i mean, The Idents Used between November 2006 and January 2013 are the best Idents that ITV has ever used (well, to me but i am not sure about anyone else)

They do sound similar, actually.

There are 10 actually (because I didn’t include Sadness) And those were used from January-November 2006.

It was just specially composed for the ident.
How come these idents didn’t last long? Did they get backlash?
Apparently, the ITV board didn’t like them, they thought they were dull, I think the viewers found them rather annoying, especially the ‘Love’ ident, where the music sounds like a siren. They were eventually replaced on 13th November by ‘the second phase’ along with some modifications in April 2010. That look lasted until the 2013 rebrand.
The second phase were much better - one of my favourites in fact. The jingle was relaxing and the shot were beautiful to look at. The night shots always reminded me of the occasional long car journey to meet my family. I hope the ITV have a rethink of their recent rebrand, the current idents are too generic and stale. The concept of having people doing stuff is so outdated now.

I wonder what 3:00 was used for, I can't imagine it was used much given its rather sombre tone. my favourite ident out of this whole set tho
I think it was mainly used for dramas, and sometimes late night programming.
