Zackary is a fucking BANGER to watch each and every time
Yo wsg Jeja! Didn't know you were also a fan of Datavo
he went marth in pools off stream this tournament
Tbh the script sounded very much like either a school essay or a story, where almost every action in the footage was described. I can see when the players do certain moves, so I believe just describing the gameplay as it appears doesn’t contribute too much to the video. For my suggestion, based on the video title, I was hoping to hear why he counter-picked each opponent’s pick. For example, perhaps you could show a few notable exchanges between moves that allowed zackray’s character to have the upper hand that other characters in his roster otherwise would not, then go into detail about how zackray has the upper hand in the exchange through the explanation of say… frame data, hitboxes, etc. By sort of skimming through each match, I’ve only managed to hear you relay what they’re doing in the battle, without much analysis on their decisions, which is why I am making this suggestion.
facts
You need to stop using would so much. For example at 5:40 saying the fourth game would start is completely unnecessary. Instead say the fourth game started. You should use ed endings to your verbs more. Instead of saying a player would utilize a character just say he utilized a character. Its fine to use use words to slow down the flow of your speech if you're going to fast but overuse of any word is going to be like nails on a chalkboard. Im not saying this as hate i've watched most of the video. Your writing feels like it lacks focus switching between how you refer to a player alternating between their actual name, character name and pronouns. Your writing also lacks emotional connection. You can't just call a set amazing or awesome you have to convince the listeners it is awesome. Details like how the players playstyles matchup, a player getting backed into a corner on last stock, reckless apporaches and mistakes they make. You can save a lost of space through revising scripts so adding detail shouldn't extend the length to much. Some videos you could take notes on are coney's summary of the bad things happening to good people tournament, and emplemon's hungry box video. Not saying you have to makd your videos exactly like them but just to give examples of how a video connects emotionally with people.
Of course this is all my opinion and I don't have the know how to make a video of my own so just take what you think is the best of what I've said if you're going to implement anything. Hope your videos do well and I liked seeing this.
I don't know if my criticism would be appreciated, but I liked what the video was going for and think this needs to be said if it would be heard. I think this video gets a bit bloated, and you can probably also tell given other commenters have said as much. But I don't think it's just because of the repetitive nouns, I kinda think the whole "explain every game in detail" concept is itself long and repetitive. In my opinion, if you're trying to tell an overarching story about Zackray winning with six different characters, it's not really relevant how he won game 1 of set X or almost made a comeback in game 2 of set Y. I found myself fastforwarding absentmindedly, because the narration was kinda dragging on. Narrating minute gameplay moments is good, but usually reserved for when a really significant moment (an impressive play, a great adaptation, maybe the point of your whole video summarized in one interaction..?). In any case, you could analyze it to provide some interesting commentary, and notably, add your own voice and input to the story. A lot of the time, it felt like you were just telling me what moves were used and when, which is, I mean, I could just watch the set myself, no? To be clear, this wasn't the issue the entire time, and the moments where you did more extrapolated summary of the games were refreshing. Long paragraph aside, you've still made a good video and if my perhaps-too-harsh comment hasn't discouraged you, I'll come back to watch another!
I never knew rob f tilt could 2 frame
repent to God
2019 was 6 years ago… holy gaddam
Time flies!
Nice video, is a good companion piece to the Zackray video on PGStats a few years back. If you would allow me to give you some constructive criticism on your script though: Try to avoid using so many descriptive nouns, stick to two at most. In the video you referred to Zackray as, Zackray, the Japanese Player, the [insert character name here] Player, the Legend and maybe one more. Try to simply call the subjects by their name as well as substitute names with he/him when the subject is implied. When starting a paragraph is ok to say [character] player but avoid it within a sentence as the audience has the context to know that Joker and Zackray are interchangeable. Once again i like the video and will continue to watch regardless.
Appreciate the criticism. I’ll lecture myself to improve this. Glad you enjoyed!
repent to God
Good video and good concept, but if I may give some constructive criticism, I think your script would benefit from being trimmed down. There's no need to constantly say ''the american player'' or ''the wolf player'', or other similar periphrases; many times in this video, you could have just said the name of the player one more time or even just say ''he did x'', because the context would let us know who you're referring too. I understand you want to avoid repetitions, but this is too much. It's also not necessary to always specify which stock a player just lost, since you're showing it to us on screen. Once again, I still had a good time watching this, don't take this the wrong way!
I appreciate the criticism. I will try to look for a way to trim down since I believe these videos can be even more brief. But glad you enjoyed the video!

ykw fair, I like your funny words magic man
I think it all depends on how many japanese players will spawn. You can have all of those good results but you'll lose to a Japanese that got 13th 8 times at a major in Japan
Leo probably is top 10 this season. His only "bad" loss is Supernova, and even then he lost to Asimo and Acola, two likely top 10 players. Aside from that, Leo's been killing it. Multiple top 8's, FOUR wins over Sparg0 (The #1 player), and has minimal bad losses (he lost to Gullheiw at a B tier but ended up winning the runback and the event so who cares) Right now I'd say the current top 10 is 1) Sparg0 2) Miya 3) Acola 4) Sonix 5) Raru 6) Light 7) Tweek 8) Asimo 9) MKLeo 10) Shuton Snow, Hurt, Doramigi and zackray are also in contention, but Snow and Hurt have some bad losses, Doramigi got 33rd at a P tier, and zackray has minimal attendance.
The difference this time is I don’t think he’s had any shock losses at all this time around, but has pulled some big wins out, just a shame he’s pulled out big wins like Gluto, Sparg0, Zackray, Shinymark and Mutace but then is losing to people he used to have beat like Kola, Light or Zomba
Gullheiw is a bad loss but he won that event and got 2 Sparg0 wins so it's fine.
@ he beat him in the run back so I guess that’s not so bad
Leo won't be top 10 this season but def top 15
he may be top 25 but he will always be the top 1 in all our hearts
I need a compilation or documentary style video where all the top players give their commentary/opinions on how good Leo is.

You might be on to something!
Our goat is washed😭🙏
I think light has a great argument for top 5 this season as well, he might even be over tweak as tweek as a lot of 9ths
Definitely not. Acola, raru, sparg0, sonix, and miya are the top 5 imo. I don't think NA majors are happening anytime soon and even then, there will definitely be much more jp majors that will boost their ranks
@ does the season not end next month? How many more majors is Japan jamming into that time frame. But ya looking at the results I think Raru might be 5th and light might be like 6th or something but idk the full picture on there head to heads.
@@AllBladesCut At the moment, NA has the coinbox irl 2, an A tier, while jp has a supermajor. Jp will also most likely have sumabato, another major. Defino maza was also canceled, which was supposed to be an NA supermajor. Also, since the coinbox is an invitational, not many can boost their rank
@@jennyqin3298 the JP supermajor and the next sumabato are next season. This past sumabato was the last japanese major of the season.
@@jinxeatsdust Does the season not end at the end of the year?
The rankings are purely stats based. If LG pushed him up in the rankings it would be literal fraud lol
honestly he doesn't deserve it but with LG his org doing the rankings they'll probably give it to him.
@@christophermauro-barias7451 the Lumirank team is largely independent from Luminosity, they gave the people that work on Lumirank money to make the rankings with and a platform. If they ever try anything fishy with the team they have a clause to just leave (like pgstats before had)
My prediction for top 10 is: 1: Sparg0 2: Miya 3: Sonix 4: Acola (could also swap with sonix) 5: Raru 6: Light 7: Asimo 8: Tweek 9: Shuton 10: Doramigi Edit: swap raru and light Swap doramigi and shuton
this is a great list, although leo > shuton most likely for top 10
All these guys were in my top 10 except shuton
Which 15 players do you think are in contention for top ten.
I've got (in no particular order) Spargo Raru Light Tweek Doramigi Shuton Sonix Mkleo Asimo Snow Hurt Shadic Zomba Yoshidora? IDK - Zackray?
In order Sparg0 Miya Acola Sonix Raru Light Tweek Mkleo Doramigi Asimo
@@Team-Eclipse6024where miya

I literally assumed I had put him in at the beginning. But, I guess I didn't check that lol
The algorithm cares a lot about how you perform relative to your seed and who you lose to and win against versus who you were expected to. The 25th place at genesis was so damaging because he lost to a player who isn't ranked in the top 150. Generally, Leo met or exceeded his seed at supermajors. So I would say he could be ranked in the top 10, but that would depend on the competition.
what a terrible algorithm lol
@@D4VID9724 this guy is mostly incorrect jsyk, lol
hi, ult-stats guy here. the lumirank algo has "outplacement points" i think that's what you mean by "exceeding his seed" because actual placements don't really hold much weight. yaura got 33rd at a P tier but due to the fact that he lost to highly ranked players, it didn't negatively effect him really. outplacement points are pretty much the smallest metric on the lumirank algorithm, so lets say mkleo outplaces sparg0 sonix acola etc., like sure that helps him but compared to every other metric, such as: wins, losses, head 2 heads, etc. then it is easily the least-mattering one of them all. don't place too much stock into whether or not leo is "exceeding his seed" and focus more who leo has beaten and who he's lost to. the genesis placement being damaging that you mentioned was actually correct, because he lost to Titan the Ken player, who is unranked. if that 25th loss had been to sparg0 instead though, then it wouldn't be damaging. this is important keep in mind when theorycrafting your top 10s. and just to clarify, what truly matters most are who you're beating and who you're losing to. leo wants to beat people who are performing better than him and that are on his level, and also wants to lose to people that are either on his level or doing better than he is (or just not lose at all, as little as possible). this applies to every player but yeah ! i can give you an example of my own top 10 which various stats people seem to agree with / have similar groupings with. 1. Sparg0 2. Miya 3. acola 4. Sonix 5. Light 6. Raru 7. Doramigi 8. Asimo 9. Tweek 10. MkLeo If Zackray attends 1 more event (literally even a D tier will suffice), then he'd likely be ranked around 8th-10th place (i personally would have him 10th) For now though, he does not meet the attendance requirement. Keep in mind that 7th-9th place is pretty interchangeable, you could easily have Tweek 7th doramigi 8th asimo 9th, etc. you could even interchange raru, but 5th and above (ESPECIALLY the top 4) are pretty much locked-in right now, as there aren't many impactful events left in the season. We have Sumabato, a couple B and C tiers, & Platfight.. Platfight has a pretty underwhelming turnout at the moment so we'll just have to see how that goes. Hope this helps! :)
@@symbiote6526 okay that makes way more sense
Mkleo over Shuton? Idk, Shuton definently top 10 this season. He has only 1 bad placement tbh, supernova, but his losses are not bad.
I could've sworn Regen was an A tier. Did it retroactively lose rank?
The TTS spreadsheet has it as an A tier with 3832 points. Even if it retroactively lost points, we should be good
@gerardoortega323 thought so. Thanks for confirming
Most likely yes, it isn't necessarily his peak, but he is much better than he was 2023 or even 2022
100 percent agree
Imo I think GOAT is guaranteed the top 9-11 range, mostly being in deabte with Shuton (lacks good h2h) and Doramigi (inconsistent compared to GOAT and Shuton). I'm honsetly leaning more towards GOAT being in the top 10. He has a 2-1 record on Sparg0 (#1 rn), and if Gluto sneaks into the top 20, then Leo would have no losses outside the top 20, which no other player other than possibly Acola would have.
Zomba probably isnt making top 20, making that almost certainly his worst loss(es)
Leo's worst loss was Gullheiw at a B tier. But even then he won the runback and got two more Sparg0 wins. So there's absolutely no way he isn't top 10. Doramigi also got 33rd at a supermajor losing to MildnaH.O
@RayBcv1030 warlock secret village was a C tier unfortunately, but maybe after re-tiering it will go up to the 1,000 threshold for B (though that's a long shot bc it's at around 700 points rn, without a multiplier)
He’s gonna be ranked 16-18 I’m pretty sure but I’m hopeful for as high as 14
I think Mkleo is staying in top 100000000, maybe a bit to high, but I’m optimistic
Nice bait!😂
6:00 Opposite order btw lmao Honestly the year feels short of events and the top 5 having Sonix and Acola despite not that many attendance in brackets
Some things to note was during his Japan trip he got some great wins in some locals against Ken and Akakikusu. I know Lumirank doesn’t account for weekly’s, but they certainly do count head to heads !
head to heads at unranked events dont count for rankings e.g. tamap's two wins on acola at an unranked event in 2023 not showing up on his ranking card that season. leo's only notable wins while in japan were from umebura: doramigi, alice, and karaage who will all likely be top 50ish
that being said, dora is a better win than ken this season anyways
Praying for #1 leo, him and spargo are my favorites
Sadly not this season. Maybe 2025?
My prediction for top 10: 1.Spargo 2.Miya 3.Raru 4.Acola 5.Tweek 6.Light 7.Sonix 8.Hurt 9.Shuton 10.Asimo
Hurt is way too high. His losses to dominator, Lea, candle, and a few others that I'm forgetting will not bode well for him. He's also gotten some really bad placements this season
@ Wait they no longer do year end rankings where they take in everything they did the whole year?
@@thataintfalco5053 oh ok then my bad I’ve been out the loop and just watch players destroy each other. Yeah then by that logic Hurt is out I have no idea who to put in his place. Maybe Snow or Dora………..
A couple of notes: 1. Umebura sp11 was a P tier, not an S tier. Leo placing top 8 at a P tier is something that not event Tweek or Light accomplished this season, and his losses were to top 20 players (Hurt is definitely not top 10 anymore with his really bad losses) 2. Lumirank wasn't necessarily brutal to Leo last season. If you notice, they really value h2h data. Leo did not have ANY top 20 wins aside from 4 Sparg0 and 1 Zomba last season, and he also had so many bad losses at the events he placed poorly. Meanwhile at Supernova, his only non-top 8 this season, he placed 17th losing to top 10 players (yes Asimo is definitely top 10 this season) 3. I'm really impressed with Leo's valleys this season. His worst loss is probably Gluto or Zomba, who are both going to be top 25 imo (Gluto might even be top 20 with his wins on Leo/Tweek/Light/Sparg0/Miya and his 1st place at regen). Meanwhile his top 20 wins look more diverse than last season: 1 win on Doramigi, 1 win on Light, 1 win on Maister, 2 wins on Sparg0 (also a winning record which is good since Sparguito is likely #1), 1 win on Zackray (if Zackray meets the attendance requirement), and wins on gluto and Shinymark (though the latter 2 are not set in stone at top 20, if shinymark wins coinbox I can see him being up there) 4. Looking at Yaura's rank last season, he was ranked really high at 13 despite not having the best wins or placements, which shows how much lumirank really cares about maintaining good losses. Leo has more than maintained good losses as previously mentioned. 5. The 9 players set in stone so far are the 4 hoursemen, asimo, light, tweek, raru, and shuton. Leo's biggest competition for #10 seems to be doramigi, which he recently had a good run to 2nd at ultcore. We'll see what happens but Leo is definitely at least #12 in my eyes
Hurt will sadly be lower this season. Doramigi has indeed been on fire and I’m also a firm believer in Raru cracking into the top 5. 12th seems fair for Leo but I’d hate to be ones doing the ranks because BOY do they have a complicated task in their hands! Lol
Yeah I think Doramigi, Leo, Shadic, and Hurt are all in contention for that #10 spot. Shadic and Hurt did so great last season that I think that's why people are doubting them for their lower performances this season, but they still did pretty good so I don't think they are out of the question.
@@andrewg.3281 Snow has also been doing things and could be 10th, though he hasnt really left JP in a bit
@@cyberm1037 Snow has NOT been doing things this season. He did have a very solid 3rd place at umebura, a P tier, but other than that, he's kind of been getting washed. Also he left for Seattle like 2 weeks ago for dpotg, not sure what you mean by that
@@jennyqin3298 I mean, what do you expect? It is very hard to get a high placement with Mario
Spargo Miya Sonix Raru Acola Light Shuton Tweek Asimo Thes players are 100% ranked above Leo maybe i forgot someone, but yeah probqbly not top 10
I also believe Raru will be top 5. His performances have been so damn good!
Doramigi and Leo are fighting for the last spot, and Doramigi just had a good run last weekend. Doramigi didn't do so great at a couple of tournaments though (with not so great losses), which may hold him back. We'll see what happens though
@@datavoyt maybe even top 3, i mean 3-5 is definitely between raru acola and sonix and comparing them, he might be nr 3
@@Jajazstdhd honestly Sonix is going to be heavily carried by his supernova run. He got like 7 top 20 wins at that tournament, which is probably going to be the most valuable tournament run for this season (similar to Hurt's 2nd place finish at Kagaribi last season). Sonix will likely be 3 or 4. As for Acola, he's the only player I can think of aside from Zackray (who's in attendance purgatory) who hasn't missed a single top 8 this season. He and Sonix will fight for who will be ranked 3
I'm not so sure for Shuton. He had some great results early on this season, but his last few tournaments haven't been as good.
I’d rather him be number #1, but that rank goes to those who work the hardest for it
Long road ahead for that to happen
