The purpose of the Japanese tea ceremony is to create bonding between the host and guest and also gain inner peace. But he also knows if Rhaenrya takes the throne there will be war. He suggested marrying Rhaenrya to Aegon to unite their claims. He has consistently done what he believes is best for his house and for the realm. How is he different than Tywin or Ned?

Alicent isn't a murderer. Why pay Dyonna if she was just going to kill her? Why even meet with her in the first place???

People were mad at Aemond for riding Laena's dragon but few were mad at Rhaenrya for riding Laena's husband... To be clear, if Aemond "stole" Vhagar, the Laena "stole" her first. If it was about inheritance, Vhagar should have gone to the son of her previous rider. She should have gone to Viserys or Daemon. Likewise, Rhaenys shouldn't have Melys who was Daemon's mother's dragon.

In the books, Laenor definitely died. The show didn't want people to hate Rhaenrya by making her complicit in his murder.

Daemon laughed because Vaemond was using the eulogy to take shots at Rhaenrya.

The show chose to make the Velaryons black. In the books, Corlys is white. Rhaenys has black hair with silver streaks because her mother was a Baratheon. That's how they explain why the Strong boys have dark hair. They inherited it from Rhaenys. But the show made it obvious when they decided to make the Velaryons black. It makes Rhaenrya look reckless. Also worth noting, Aegon the Conqueror's mother was Velaryon.

Daemon likes blonde women who ride dragons. Lady Rhea is not his type.

Baelon died of a burst appendix. Otto didn't kill him. If Viserys believed that, Otto wouldn't have a head...

Cole didn't really have a choice. Rhaenrya is essentially his boss. She has the power to have him fired or executed. The last member of the Kingsguard to get caught breaking his vows was castrated and sent to the Wall. Rhaenrya put Cole in a terrible position.

Robert Baratheon went on a hunt that was less staged. How did that work out for him?

Targaryens have prophetic dreams. Aegon. Dany. Even Jon. Viserys's dream was likely prophetic. Even if it wasn't, it makes sense he would take it seriously. The only reason the Targaryen family survived the Doom was because of a dream.

Marrying Aegon would have strengthened Rhaenrya's claim to the throne... Otto actually made a good suggestion.

Marriage for love is exceedingly rare in this world. Ned Stark didn't marry Cat because he loved her. She was betrothed to his older brother. When he died, Ned married Cat to secure an alliance with the Riverlands. Robert didn't choose to marry Cersei. Dany didn't choose Drogo. Robb married for love and look how well that turned out...

Joffrey was Robert's heir. I wonder if you respected his opinion...

The Padre, Alviro Martin, is an honourable man, but because he serves the Catholic Church, he has a vow of celibacy & therefore his intentions to take Mariko Sama under his wing was an act of pure spirituality. He HAS to help her and her soul.

Fuji Sama has one of the best character arcs. She really is an amazing and loyal subject - and would make a perfect 'Waifu'. Moeka Hoshi's performance is remarkable.

You said in the end comments that 'we need to read his journal'. No. Read the book Shogun by James Clavell. It is excellent.

John handing his Katanas to Toranaga Sama was not without meaning. He understands the hierarchy, and Toranaga is Lord Of The Kanto - such a man without swords is unthinkable. The value of the swords (Fuji's father's katanas) is irrelevant. The symbolism is everything.

The priest in the prison gave the correct pronunciation of Shogun. 🙂

Jean wanted to die. Since the beggining of the filme we see her losing control of her powers, in her first dialogue with Scott she says that something terrible is about to happen. She knew she was too strong, she sacrificed herself to protect her family from her.

To me, X-Men Days of Future Past is the greatest superhero movie ever made. For one reason, the Sentinel X is the most volatile villains I've ever seen in a superhero movie. The stakes are there for everyone to appreciate

Imagine Cooper landing on Edmunds Planet, out of the blue, and reuniting with Brand. Imagine that Cooper Station had not yet transmitted to Brand that he was alive and back at Saturn. Now, imagine him trying to quickly explain everything that happened, after he jettisoned into Gargantua, before she could conclude that she had suddenly gone stark raving mad. 😆

19:23 I think what you're referring to is that until this film, there hadn't really been an adequate rendering of a black hole, but mainly just the implications of the math and physics of the black hole. The team (VFX) and actual experts of the field that worked together on the depiction of Gargantua for the film produced what is considered to be the most accurate depiction of said math and physics in service of what it ought to look like, and resulted in lots of useful insights and several interesting papers including that of the programming code used to create Gargantua for the screen with regard to all the aforementioned science. It turns out, all those brilliant past scientists that contributed to our foundational understanding of what these celestial bodies should look like (and the rendering thereof by the teams here) were lovingly accurate to our first _actual_ photographs of a blackhole (the one at the center of the Messier 87 galaxy, 55 million lightyears from Earth). Truly breathtaking stuff!

This is going to sound super dumb and weird, but I *_promise_* I mean it with as much humor and delicate consideration as it deserves (lol) 🙏... But in future productions, if you continue with the copyright precaution of fading out the film every few seconds, please consider framing it differently relative to where you're sitting. I felt inclined to politely look away every time the scene faded out because it's placed directly over your chest, lmaoooo 😆 That said, this was a fun reaction, and as always, a wonderful revisit to a wonderful adventure of an emotional movie. It's always so refreshing to share in someone else's experience of the film! Thank you two for sharing 💙💛
