A word of advice about gopro's. I used one for a while and I got a waterproof external connection with an external battery and USB cord. Take the battery out and hook to external battery with USB. It's a bit more weight and a line running from your pocket to the hat but it's doable. Then you won't have to keep changing batteries and not that it gets that hot here but it stops the dreaded overheating problem with hot weather when you take the battery out and use an external battery. 3br power sports makes them for multiple GoPro versions. My boat always seems to have ants no matter what time of the year haha. Great Bay was mid 60s on Sunday only caught a few shorts. Went behind AC on Monday (in extrreme fog) and it was upper 60s. Caught 2 keepers and 19,000,000 croakers.

man..lol... ...Thursday (June 4th) was awful in Barnegat Bay where i was...took the Fam out and wife got sick as soon as I stopped (first time in the ocean lol not a fun experience to start with). Very choppy even in the backwater...strange cause the weather report didn't say that...but i need to understand which wind direction will cause chop lol...and water wasn't bad. The fam went out onto a beach in the back bay, but maybe cause its so shallow

I fish behind Ventnor & Margate. Water temp has been mostly in the upper 60s, very low 70s. Went to Great Egg reef on Sunday and the water was 71. When we got back, the water in the bay was 66.

Looks like you made the best of it. What was the water temp? I was out the day before on the TI Reef trying to escape the chocolate milk water of the bay and the croakers. It was 63 degrees on July 2. This upwelling is killing the bite and the damn south wind is relentless with no end in sight.

I was out the same day you were. Hit Townsends Channel, Paddy’s hole and by the bridge. Nothing! Flew the skunk flag back to the slip.

I won't use spotlock at bridges. If the trolling motor loses it signal or its a gusty wind, it can drive you into the bridge. I keep the remote in my hand, bumping in and out until I hook up, and then I drift away to reel it in.
