would greatly appreciate if you can figure out what product had the hose you used to connect to the valve cleaner straw, been looking around and can't find it
That was a product I used when I worked at the VW dealership as a tech. That was like 10 years ago.
Whats the part number of your filter and the engine size,
I have a 2016 Sonata hybrid like this. Thankfully the newer ones have GDI/Port injection. Even using this spray, I have the BG service done every 12-18 months. I iave before/after BG photos that went from carbon covered to where i could see the piston head markings from the factory. 👍 172,000 miles so far, no issues. Even have the factory brake pads. ! The method I do this now is I installed an oil catch can years ago (as these people should) and I spray this or Seafoam in the hose going into the intake. I had mechanics tell me it worked better into the intake than the throttle body. 👍 It gets the back of the valves better-in theory.
wonder if you switched the tweets to opposite sides would that resolve your short wire issue.
@@dawgintime the tweeter only fits one way. If I flip it i have to modify the holes. But so far no issues with the wiring
@@rcintron123 I know the go in one way only. But maybe left to right.
@@dawgintime they are the same so no difference witch side you put it
Got any videos of how to install the amp to speakers?
Where can i find the dust covers at? The link you have is dead
@@downsouthplayers713 used to be for sale in amazon. Have the link but no more. I found them on aliexpress
looks like its still usable ..go another 5000 miles
I had no problem with a DS-18 don't know what you're talking about.
What you mean?
Nice filter
It’s nice to make the video but to someone who needs to see where the literal valve is, this video became pointless
The metal end of the hose is just sitting inside of the intake hose, there is no valve.
i wonder if is a perfect fit for my tundra 2016
Yes it is, for the dash tweeter
I thought you were supposed to drive it like a bat out if hell after the cleaning.
That what i did in the end but you first start slow because it will smoke and knock like hell. After that floor it
El amarillo es mejor...el k&n solo hace ruido...
Thanks for sharing! I've got this coming up on on our 2.4L Hyundai Santa Fe and we are about done with dealer service charges. So this is a great help! Take care!
Thank you!!
They are great. I have them too
Did not lube the filter drain gasket. Filter housing gasket should be lubed prior to reinstalling to completely cover with oil. Did not replace the drain plug crush washer. Nice going, sparky.
I did lubricate the filter housing O-ring prior to installing at 12:15. The new crush washer forgot to add it but never leaked. Did a oil change couple months ago and did ad a new one
Oil catch can may do wonders to prevent crank buildup and sludge for iac valves on some models.
I have one on mine too and it does catch some oil about 1 tbsp every oil change and its only got 18k on it. I work on toyotas and every 2gr intake i pull has oil all on the inside. Either way doesnt hurt to have it 🤷🏽♂️
Completely useless on an N/A engine unless your already having an excessive blow by issue
Why is it useless?
I haven't heard of excessive build up being an issue on Tacoma intakes. Probably a waste on money.
All intake get oil accumulation from the crankcase. Work on cars for 15 years and there is going to be some oil in it. On Tacomas since is D4S it keep the intake valve clean and is not required but I decided to add it to see what happens. This system only cost me $30. There are kit for the Tacoma for $130 and above and I not intend to pay that money. Plus I built it to take it off and go back to stock If I want to. Again not everyone needs a Oil catch can but it a fun DIY if someone wants to add one.
Unnecessary, why ruin a good truck😅😅😅
Not ruining it just making it better. No cutting or modifying any stock component. Is reversible so it can go back to stock like nothing happened.

I have one .....i like it
Ds18 sounds better than kicker imo good purchase
Those reusable snake oil performance let dust debris through in dusty conditions. Car mechanics see problems caused by them all the time. If you hold them up to the light, you can actually see light through them.
That why I went with the dry filter. Filter little bit more than the wet filter. I know it doesn’t trap all the debris like a paper filter but im not off roading or take dirt roads a-lot so shouldn’t be that bad. If you do a lot of off road or construction then stick with paper filters.
How did you inspect the intake valves with the borescope, through the spark plug hole when a valve was open?
Well I was going to do through the spark plug hole with valve open. The intake manifold has butterfly in each runner. I just want to inspect it. Is is still have carbon then I might remove manifold to clean each valve
This stuff wotks well.
Yes I used it for years on port injection cars and does clean intake well but wanted to see in GDI. Ill do it again in the 10K oil change
what bulbs do you have in the lights next to the headlights?
They a DRL from factory
LED?
I think they’re non replaceable, it’s part of the housing
@@JulleNick69it’s led factory daytime running lights
Yes it can slowly help remove carbon build up on intake valves. Good to do every 10,000 miles or so.
Yeah. Ill do it again in 10k. Next time ill do a borescope comparison to see the difference
I had an issue with the clips
I just bought these right now..should I disconnect the battery before installing?
Greetings. No need to disconnect the battery.
Hello nice ride, any update on the performance of this filter, is it worth it?
Greetings. So since I have my truck tuned there is a better response and also notice little better mpg not much. So far 8k miles on it and still looking good.
Nice, I just got one of those I will put in my 19 tundra, thank you very much for your response, nice video help a lot.
Off topic, but how did you cover up the license plate holes? Assuming you had some. Mine are just there and looking to over it up
Were I live we don’t need front license plates so the dealer never installed the bracket but small holes are there just can’t notice from camera unless you zoom in
If you haven't already, I would recommend a transmission spill and fill also. I would have done it at 30k miles, but at 60k it's definitely about time to keep the trans in good working order
You forgot to replace the new crush washer.
Yeah forgot about that but luckily didn’t leaked the whole year or 5k miles. I did change it on the last oil change couple months ago
Thanks for the update and great video. How have they held up?
Well it been almost a year now and so far so good. I would worried that being inclosed in the headlight in tropical weather would start issues but work pretty well. Drove it at night for 3 hours straight and no flickering or issues. Is a win in my book.
What brake cleaner are you using great video peaceful video to watch
“ euhm” 67x
Stupid. You need to Torque the oil filter to 18 ft lb the cap to 10 ft lb. Drain plug to 30 ft lb. 6.2 quarts.
FYI, the plastic oil filter housing is good quality and if not over torqued will last the life of your vehicle.
You’re supposed to rub oil on both O Rings when installing them
I did put oil on both of rings
I think shorten the hose Lol it's long enough for the vehicle to be lifted but if you work off the ground shorten it. and i always put cardboard down as i always spill a drip or two !
Yeah for the new oil change I did 2 weeks ago I shorted it. Much better.
@@rcintron123 i think i'm going to order one.. just did the change but will be handy next time 'round.
@@g.fortin3228 go for it.
Good video but audio little too low😊
Are gen 2.5 compatible with 3rd gen Tacoma aftermarket fog lights?
Yes 12-15 are compatible with 3 gen and other way around
I have a TRD sports premium. I contacted the dealer and ask for compatibility of Toyota OEM aluminum filter Housing P/N: 15620-31060. He said no. I don't understand. My engine is a V6 3.5L. It is a question and not a comment. If any person can answer, it will help. Thank you.
Greetings. The dealership won’t tell you that the filter housing is compatible with the Tacoma because it won’t show in their system but it is compatible. On the dealer the clerk told me it will fit just won’t show in the system.
@@rcintron123 Thank you.
you used a torque wrench to as a breaker bar! toss that in the garbage can.
That not a torque wrench. That a ratchet that can extend and be a breaker bar. Bought it in Harbor freight.
It looked like it.@@rcintron123
I tried to do loosen up my filter housing but it is stuck on tight. I don't know if the dealer over tighten the housing.
Your not trying hard enough, don't be afraid of it .
Do these bulbs have a high and low function or did you lose that?
The projector itself is the hi/low function. The bulb just provides the light.
Dimelo bro
Hey man nice vid. New sub here. Hows the bulb upgrade so far?
Greetings. Thanks for subscribing my channels really appreciate. So far works very well can’t complain. I have a another video I uploaded that I was having flickering issues and added CAN Bus error decoder and now works flawlessly.
