Installing a Ukulele PreAmp Output Jack
Просмотров 1894 года назад
In this video I show why cutting holes into an instrument is like making sausage - you don't want to see how it's done. I'm installing an output jack/battery pack into a ukulele.

LP style Fretboard Taping

A sped-up version of me taping up a fretboard prior to doing fret leveling. I find it protects the fretboard and keeps the metal dust away from the wood.
Gibson J 45 Under Bridge Area Routing
Просмотров 224 года назад
This video shows me making the first routing pass of the under-bridge area of a Gibson J-45. A friend of mine made the red jig to match my StewMac bridge saddle router, which didn't allow the Dremel to travel far enough.
Setup: Measure String Heights
Просмотров 344 года назад
A few folks have asked me, "What is involved when you set up a guitar?" In this installment, I show how I measure string heights to 0.001", graph them, and compare to factory specifications. That allows me to show the client what's up and why I recommend what I recommend. I also show before and after making adjustments to the truss rod, bridge saddle, and/or nut.
Gibson J 45 Bridge Removal

A repair was attempted with epoxy. It wasn't allowed to set before the strings were put on so the bridge moved towards the sound hole and stuck in the wrong spot. This video shows its removal.

Black Mountain Picks are great for players with bizarre styles, like me: flat picking, hybrid picking, finger style, and all of them in one song.

Not clear at all. 13 and 3/4 what 👎
I want to know what I need to do and your video is not finished 😢
Thanks! Informative and straight to the point.
Edit the fucking video
I like the bit where we're shown how to intonate 😂
I have a Washburn mandolin too a style. Its a sunburst but instead of brown its yellow and black
Thank you sir, very helpful
Where is the second video? :(
Be less annoying without the idiot playing with the bass in the background
It is a wonderful instrument from about the 1920 - 1930. As you have figured out it is a bulbul tarang of the older design , my brother had one int the 1960s. It would be nice to hear you play it. The sound is very similar to a mandolin. The modern electric ones with synthesizers is not even close in comparison with regards to the sound , too bad the don't make them anymore. Its missing the palm rest. It is just a round knob about 2.5 inches in diameter fixed on the right side of the hole, so you rest your palm on it to strum the strings, other than that it looks like it is in good condition As for the tuning notes i have no idea. Its from north india.
♥♥♥😊😊😊♥♥♥
Thanks, Joe! I just discovered your channel!
Thanks for the review. What amp do you play through at home. Tested one out at a Nashville guitar center through a Bose PA... The best amplified acoustic sound I've ever heard. We just kept turning it louder and louder with no feedback!
Keep up the great work!! Did you ever think of using FollowSM[.]com to promote your videos!?
How are they for just straight strumming though????
Thanks for the review! That was great! : ) : ) : )
Good LLB tune to try... I'm sure you know the Spanish, too. I always wanted to "tu" play an "Alto Cello"!
