    If you use the washing machine and water comes up in the kitchen sink, wouldn’t it be a clogged sink since the piping are connected? One time I’ve seen this and when I checked the sewer line there was no water. Maybe an internal clog

    I was a commercial HVAC tech for 16 years. A properly set up Evap cooler should get between 20-30 degree split depending on humidity. We have an A/C and evap cooler on our house in Phoenix. There is no comparison on electric usage. The evap is way cheaper to run. I will say that if your humidity goes up during monsoons or the temperature goes above 105 an A/C system will work better for these times.

    11:47 / A dangerous electrical situation can be observed ; The electrical conduit is hanging down off of the side of the cooler and floating in the wind and is not secured to the coolers legs or the roof surface. Conduit, containing wires or conductors, unsecured moving in the wind can cause chafing or damage to a wires vinyl jacket within the interior of the conduit, also wire electrical connections at the cooler junction box or roof mounted junction box can become loose from wire strain resulting in an unsafe electrical connection.

    It's safer to unplug or plug in the blower fan motor cord only when the swamp cooler control switch is turned off. I have seen instances where the ground wire or path to ground has failed and when the service technician plugs the motor cord in, a spark or arc will jump to the technicians hand resulting in a nasty shock ( safety first )

  • @anthonygonzalez7488
    @anthonygonzalez7488 Год назад

    First comment : When replacing pads, set the panel on the top of the cooler. Setting the panel on the roof surface will allow the roof granules to scratch the painted finish of the panels thus shortening the working life of the panel ( replacement panels cost about $ 80 - $100.00 each ) . It's much easier on your body to stand next to the cooler while changing pads than to get down on your knees , especially on a rough surface with a slope. FYI , I am the owner of a swamp cooler service company and I have serviced hundreds of coolers for many years.

    My pipes did freeze, we won't thaw out until TUes. I've had no water for days. I turned off the main water shutoff from inside the house. When it does start thawing, should I leave the main water off still, or turn it on and open the water faucets? I don't want any burst pipes, and need to know what to do to prevent it. I don't know if I could afford the burst pipes!
