What weight of bullet are you using?
I now use two kinds. In the video it is a 174 grain lead 40 cal. But I now use the Berry’s 165 grain lead with the copper plate coating. I like the 165 best. But it is a bit more expensive. Make sure you do the muzzle check. Hope this helps. Best regards Barry
Thanks for that information! I had bought the pre crimp die but was having a tough time getting the finished star crimp .. I now know that I needed the final crimp tool . Beautiful crimps now , thank you
Great video! SUBSCRIBED
good morning and thank you for commenting; it is appreciated...we will have new updated Instructions videos later next month... Best regards Barry....thexringusa.com
Is the reloading kit still available for purchase?
good morning and Yes, Kits are available...go to the webstore;;; thexringusa.com Free shipping to a USA address. I hope you and yours have a peaceful Memorial Day weekend............................. Please do not forget the price they paid... best regards Barry
These still available? 12 gauge?
Good morning and Yes. They are available in 12 ga. 20 ga. and 410. They are at. thexringusa.com Best regards….Barry
Thanks for your help in getting my order sorted on the xborder shopping
You are most welcome. Always glad to help a fellow Sportsman. 👍
Thank you so much I just received my kits .410 20 and 12 . So far I’m very pleased.
Glad to have been of some help. Best regards….Barry
why use a pistol bullet if it's just going to tumble out of the muzzle?
Good morning. A slug will do the same. They wont tumble. The fit is very close to the bore size. Shotguns do not have rifling to grab and engrave land and grooves into the projectile. Slugs slide through the muzzle. Best regards…..Barry
Nicely done brother! Very well explained and detailed! Thanks for sharing!
What kind of powder do you recommend this question is for anyone
Good morning:: For my personal 12 & 20 ga. loads I use TITE-GROUP or CLAYS. For 410 I like H110. Great 410 powder. H110 is also versatile in that it is a good powder for my 45 Colt loads. Plus; I never load to max. I keep things mid-range for safe pressure. Hope this helps…..Barry
Mr Barry can you create a video showing us how to reload slugs please. Thank you sir.
Yes. Be more than glad to do a 410 slug demo. This next week will be pretty busy for me,,,, but I will try to get one done over the weekend. Best regards…..Barry
Thank you sir the video is very helpful.
What primers, wads, and powder are you using?
As you know. Components like Primers, powder and such are different to find. I use any standard 209 primer I can find. Wads, In 410 I get Clays from Ballistic Products. In 410, I like H110. It also doubles for my 45 Colt. In the other gages it depends on what I am loading. Game shot, buck or slugs. Each will take different powders, wads and powder charges. But. All use a 209 primer. That’s a commonality with them. Good loading data can be found online from the Powder manufacturer. Or, find a current reloading data book. Hope this has been of some help. Best regards….Barry
Thank you so much
Any hope for a 28 gauge reloader?
I am sorry to disappoint. We do not make a Survival Loader Kit for 28 ga. At one time we did a short production run to test the market. They were made for 28 ga. - 16 ga. - 10 ga. We didn’t have much interest from customers to justify the expense of tooling and stocking. Test sales were fairly dismal. BUT!!!!!!!!! This may be of some help. I have attached information for 2 other companies that may have them. I do not know if they are still in business. These reloader kits are very different from ours; so, I cannot speak to the quality. I understand that they do work. I hope this information helps. Best regards…Barry #1- Lanes Reloading Website lane371.dotster.com #2- Reloader-3D You would need to email them to ask for a specific gage. https:/www.thereloadersnetwork.com/

@@barrydeclined2547 My problem is I do not have paypal I order over the phone and use credit card. So will have to find some one to do it for me, at 75 years old still do things the old way.
That's a nice setup. I like that a lot.....very simple and effective.
thexringusa.com Full kits for 410, 20 & 12 ga. Well made on CNC machines, here in the USA. feel free to share your information so others can also learn. best regards Barry
I got a 410 kit maybe two years ago. My chickens love it but the coons and possums not so much... my loads with the kit hit much harder, guessing my loads are running faster than factory. For farm defense level of shooting it can't be beat!
I follow this channel. Good information. I have the 12 ga. kit, Love it. Great customer service also. They took the time to respond to my questions for using it. Glad to see they are still in business during these hard times.
thank you for commenting...please feel free to share your experience for others to gain your knowledge. Best regards Barry
An excellent well thought out and well made piece of kit. It has saved me quite a bit of money....🇬🇧
Hello John and thank you for commenting. Glad you are enjoying your kit. I just now posted this short video to help a customer with crimp issues. Trying to help if I can. Best regards Barry
This was a good channel. What happened to it?
It should still be the same. Next month we are updating videos. But nothing has changed. Can you please tell me what are the issues/problems so we can fix or address them. Your input would be very helpful. Best regards….Barry
My phone shows the latest videos were 2 or 3 years ago. Maybe it's just my phone, I don't know.
Yes. They are a couple of years old. That is going to be corrected at the end of April. New videos and new product information videos with demos. Thank you for the feedback…..Barry
Will this work on all brass hulls?
Hello: While the Survival Loader is not designed nor is it intended to load the all brass shells, it can be done with some considerations. ( I use it on my Mag-Tech Brass Shells ) I would not buy the Survival Loader kit specifically to load only the all Brass Shells. It would be a waist of money unless you are also looking to load regular shells. For one: The primer hole is different on All Brass. The all Brass Shells use regular large pistol or rifle primers. The 209 Shotgun Primer de-cap rod will to work to de-cap the primer. The pin is too large. Also, you cannot crimp the metal. You would need to glue an “over-shot” wad inside the case mouth to keep the shot load from falling out. I hope this information helps. Best regards,,,,,,,,,,,Barry
@@barrydeclined2547 should make a video on the brass ones.
That is a pretty good suggestion. We are planning on doing a total update on all our Survival Loader videos. That may just be something to add. Thank you for that suggestion. It is appreciated. Best regards…..Barry
it's great, I'd like to have one but $95? That's more than a Lee Loadall. Sorry, getting screwed over is not in my survival plan. good luck though.
Hello and Thank you for commenting. The LEE Load-All is a pretty decent Bench Mounted machine. And the price is fair. But,the Survival Loader Kit is a totally different animal. LEE used to make portable Shotgun Reloader Kits, but that was a long time ago. You can still find one every now and then on Ebay. Last time I checked the prices were north of $150. Feel free to post comments. The posts benefit other readers who can learn from other people’s opinions and experiences. Best regards……Barry
Hey Barry, I want to apologize for my snarky comment. I was just home from looking at some pick up truck prices and was more than a little upset about what I saw out there. Your survival loader is actually pretty cool. I would love to have one but It seems I can afford very little right now. I'll catch up to you a bit later. Again, sorry about my attitude. @@barrydeclined2547
isn't 410 actually "410 bore"?
Yes it is called both. Take a look at the picture in the circle on this post. The picture is of a 410 barrel marked as both. I can only assume Firearms manufacturers do this to help avoid confusion. Bore is actually what it is meant to be. But. Now-a-days. People use both. Best regards Barry

Yes …we ship to CANADA. Send an email to: thexringusa@yahoo.com They ship to CANADA all the time. Ebay has a glitch that for some reason won’t allow these kits to ship International. 👍 Barry
Just a pice of information to help those who have our Kits. This is a re-loader. It is Intended to re-load "Previously Fired" shells. If you are trying to load New Hulls/cases, it will be difficult to establish a good crimp.. New Shells do not have an established factory formed Crimp Line. If you are having trouble, please get hold of me through the company website: thexringusa@yahoo.com. I will be more than glad to help you out and help you get great Star Crimps. Below is some of the Feed Back we receive. There is much more in the comments below. Going to have to stop you at the "weigh every charge, don't use scoops" bit. I have used them, and weighed the results. Technique matters. Inconsistent or incorrect technique will yield inconsistent/incorrect results. Make your own scoop if none in the Lee set are correct for the powder you want to use. Absolutely use a scale to verify that it's correct, but it's absolutely unnecessary to weigh every powder charge. If it varies by .1 or .2 of a grain, so what? You're not loading precision rifle ammo to shoot one hole groups or at 1,000 yards. The typical press for reloading shotshells uses a measure system that operates on volume. So do the units on progressive presses for metallic cartridges, and the standalone measures used for metallic reloading as well. That's exactly how the scoops operate. I have experience with all four, and they all have variance.
Are the kit/tools available in Amazon? Where can I get it
Good morning. The kits are available direct from thexringusa.com or from Ebay. They have an independent dealer authorized to sell. On Ebay enter 124165006574 It will take you to the 410 kit and links to the other gage kits. I hope this information has been of help……Barry

Where can I get the punches? The punches I find at the hardware store are too small.
Glad to help....here is the information.... Best regards Barry.............................. Hole punch size for “Over-shot” wads The punches are actually Leather Craft hole punches. You can find them as singles or in sets. Below is the information on the sizes and where they can be bought. I suggest just buying them as singles, unless you want to have a compete set, The metric are not expensive since they are imported. I found my single punches on ETSY. They were about $4 to $5 each. I tried many different sizes before finding just the right fit. In my opinion, the sizes listed seem to work best. The best are made by C.S. Osborne. Made in the USA Metric::: Imported and can be found on ETSY. But also they are available on Ebay, Amazon, or large selection from Tandy Leather. Normally they are available, either as a single punch or in sets. 410 ga. = 13/32 US size is best or a second best 10.5 mm 20 ga. = 11/16 US size is best or a second best 17.5 mm 12 ga. = 3/4 US size is best or a second 19 mm
I have the 410 survival loader and all I can say is that it is a simple kit that works beautifully. I can say it is of high quality and will last a lifetime if not abused. I can see people in Alaska and around the world using these to put together ammo .
Hello Curtis & thank you for the great feedback. We do sell a lot to Sportsmen in other countries,. We do our best to give you a great tool for the money.... The prices directly from thexringusa.com are as follows. 410 kit is $89.95 with FREE shipping to a USA address. 12 ga and 20 ga are $94.95 with FREE shipping to a USA address. There is also an independent seller that is selling on Ebay. Ebay is a bit more with their fee's & tax collection when you buy through them.. It would be cool if they offered an optional leather leather carry case to put the whole box into. One with belt loops, one without.
I’m sure one could be found. But. Then again. It would add to the cost. Today. Price for value is everything. Thank you for posting. Lots of viewers learn from other posters ideas. 👍😀Barry
Can this be done without an overshot wad?
Yes. You can. I like the cushy over-shot wad. It’s just my personal preference. Barry😀
Thanks, My son and I are just getting into this. I think this will do just what we need it to. Great video !
Reloading is not only fun. But can save money. I think you and you son will enjoy the time together. Barry
Thanks. Great product. Great instructional video.
I really do appreciate you taking the time to watch it and to post a comment. Thank you and best regards. Barry
.410 BORE ( not gauge)
---The correct is Bore. But barrels are also marked as Ga. (see my pic in the circle, Mossberg 410 barrel) It has both. Probably to make it “idiot proof”. But Bore is what it actually is amongst knowledgeable shooters. Please feel free to comment on things. We have many shooters who also learn. Best regards Barry

How are your "Survival Loaders" significantly different from Lee Pocket Loaders, which often sell for half as much money?
Hello Tim and thank you for asking that question. First. LEE used to make manual reloaders for shot shells. But they haven’t for many years now. Look on Ebay. Often a 410 LEE manual kit is north of $150. Ours are also different. They actually resize and make a very decent re-crimp. These are designed for the Survival-Prepper situations. They are also smaller than the old LEE kits. And they are top quality that will last. LEE still makes pistol and rifle manual reloaders at a decent price point. But. For a bug-out manual shot shell reloader,,,,we are head and shoulders above any others. I hope this helps explain to some degree your question. Please let me know if I can be of more help. You might take a look at our Google reviews and those on Ebay. Our website also has a lot of information that may be of some help. thexringusa.com Best regards Barry
@@barrydeclined2547 I see Lee is currently out of stock of the #12 loaders, but I can buy them all day long for less than $50. I happen to have one of the really old ones in the all-cardboard box. FYI, it (optionally) resizes, too. I just bought one in .303 British for a family member. Lee still makes and sells quite a variety of different calibers. You might want to reconsider your loader prices.
@@barrydeclined2547 .410 is far simpler to reload than #12 is; it takes nearly nothing to do that job. It's little wonder that Lee isn't trying to sell those any more. Anyone with the slightest bit of hand skills can easily reload them.
The LEE load all is available. It is typically for mounting on a work bench. They are a good deal. I see they are around $69 or so fro Palmeto. However. Form what I can see, the manual-pocket sized are are not available. Please send me the link and I will be more than willing to check them out. If a person doesn’t need a compact, drop in the pocket shotshell reloader. Then the LEE Load-all is the way to go. The comparison is like a large apples to apricots. We are the smaller apricot. Please send the link. Would love to follow up on any new developments. Best regards Barry
@@barrydeclined2547 Na. I'm talking about the "Lee Classic Loader", which used to be called the "Lee Pocket Loader" because you could easily drop the whole thing in the pocket of your field jacket along with the requisite mallet and a little can of powder and another little can of shot and you'd be hunting pheasant all day. You can very nearly tuck the whole loader into a shirt pocket.
Excellent, thank you.
It looks great but the price tag is just too steep considering a lee load all is 70 dollars on Amazon and this product is 90
I bought the .410 reloader. The swage tool is different than the video. I am a pretty strong guy, and cannot push the tools together hard enough to get the final crimp to work correctly, and I thinks its because the Pre-crimper tools are not the same as the video. They just dont fold the crimp in far enough. Everything else worked perfectly. Maybe I just need practice. The quality of the parts were outstanding. I ordered the roll-crimp tool, perhaps that will help out when it arrives.
I had the same problem,.. it turned out to be ok with practice... apparently the video is their first generation kit.... I contacted them and they said the generation 2 kits that have been out for the past 2 years are a much better kit,.. I have the newer kit,,,they said the crimp and swager thingy made a big improvement.,,,, I think it was just me needing to get the right feel..... but,,,they told me that if I was not satisfied that I could return it for a refund...... at least they are honest in that regards...... hope it works for you,,,,I'm getting great crimps now.....Roy 😀
How do I get one of those loaders??
Hello Jim. The webstore sells them. Free shipping to a USA address. Go to thexringusa.com Hope this information helps. Barry.
Awesome bit of kit. What powder and how many grains did you use?
for 12 ga. I use Titewad. I like H110 powder for the 410. It works great for the 410 and for my 45 Colt. As for how powder weight. That is a big variable. It depends on the weight of the shot load. I have several different loads. Each with different amounts of powder. Best that you go online to one of the reloading site to see what they recommend for load data. Hodgdon has a great online resource date site. Best regards. Barry
Very good sir thank you
