True story. My hillbilly step grandfather drug me out to go fishing once (we did not get along) and I was bored to tears. So this truck rolls up, plastered with confederate flags, gun racks, antennas and rust spots and the guy and his kid jump out. Friends of my grandpas it turned out. So this lanky 16ish kid in a dukes of hazard shirt walks over and I say hi, and he points out at the water and says: “putalureoutderebytheripplesbydatlog, haveafishonnaendofaline, notimeatALL” Blink. Two hours, I sat next to the irl Boomhauer. I have no idea what he said. At all. He talked the entire time. I remember thinking ‘holy shit, that character is based on real people’ Turns out I was right 😂
