Is this a clear cut?
It wasn't a total clear they had pockets laid out for food plots
Miss ya ol bud hope your doing well
Doing pretty good, hope you are too. Glad to hear from you
A
That is how it's done
hay stupid where r your safety chaps
You made that look easy.
You mention the barko being fuel efficient in another comment. What would you say you averaged for gallons used per day? What about DEF consumption?
About 6 gal an hour fuel and 3 gallons or so of DEF per 100 gal of fuel
@@chrisoliver292 Thanks for quick response. I process behind feller buncher with dangle head so not much tracking and would likely be even more efficient but even at 6 its about 2-2.3 gph better than my current setup. Thanks again
I'm on a 725d timberpro now with the same head and its burning 7.1 gph but its got 125 more hp than the barko.

Nice...
about how many board feet in that tree?
1600-1800
Any more details or new videos you can upload? We own a Fabtek and it must be replaced. We've hired a guy with a 240 and wow what a machine. Any inside on your machine 240vs260s pros and cons. Or just details about your 260 sure would be appreciated! Great video & thank you sir.
The only real difference in a 240 vs 260 is the undercarriage and the main boom cylinder. Really liked all the storage compartments and the air compressor. I'm on a 725d timberpro with the logmax 7000xt now. The barko burnt down in the spring, the preheater shorted out and roasted everything but the head.
The 260 was good on fuel and super stable, id run it sideways on 30° slopes. We never had any significant mechanical problems (had a valve coil go bad and a sensor on the engine) in almost 2000 hrs. It's a small thing but I sure miss the air knife on the skylight to blow off debris.
Oh man I'm sorry to hear that! I hope barko ate some cost on that! Do you prefer your 725 for what you do over the barko? I'm sick of having no support with the Fabtek there's always something wrong with it these days. It does perform well on smaller 1st & 2nd thinnings. Thanks for getting back to me, you got some great videos! We'd only be able to afford a used machine max 300k if everything goes right the next few years so I'm begging research..
Overall they are very similar the timberpro has a bit more power, ground speed and a 1 1/2' more reach but it uses 20% more fuel. If your doing a lot of 1st thins the 240 and 725 come in 9'4" width the 260 is like 11'2. Both have plenty of power. I'm in an overdue 2nd thin of yellow pine right now they're averaging a 26" dbh both can handle it.
On smaller wood they dont even grunt. The barkos are a little better in tight spaces cause the boom tucks tighter.
Yeah that 260 makes our Fabtek look like a toy
Should got 395xp best saw made besides its little brother 372xp
I prefer the 395 but I didn't buy it

Great video !!
Thanks
How is that head in big hard wood and what the biggest tree you cut with it ?
Havnt got to see the 260 yet, good vid. Waiting to see what they come up with to make em level someday
Got dam that barko is seriously a hell of a lot bigger than it actually seems on the trailee
Amazing how you can process a pile of logs.
How does that head do in like red and white oak
Does really good on small to medium hardwood. When you get above a 25" dbh or so you really have to be on your game.
Good stuck of wood
That's a beautiful office view
We would like to get automated logging. Do you ever run on steep ground with it? If so how does it do? We select cut oak this is the route we would like to go.
We work some pretty steep ground on occasion you can't see it in this video but the hill behind is about 40° and it does pretty good if you do alot of steep look at a leveling machine like the timberpro.
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost the login password. I love any help you can offer me.
@Byron Benicio Instablaster =)
@Kyler George I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Kyler George It worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
Nice job and wood
bark less than the bite lol nice machine 250,000.oo?
Unfortunately it cost a little more than that, not quite 700k
@@chrisoliver292 Seriously? Wow I didn't know they were that expensive. Why not go with a wheel harvester for that money? They are way nicer to run and more productive.
@@ponsseguy this one replaced a komatsu 931xc and I much prefer a track machine for what we do
@@chrisoliver292 oh well it doesn't take much to beat a 931
@@ponsseguy True. We cut alot of bigger wood and the barko with that Logmax 7000xt will feed trees the 931 wouldn't lift off the ground let alone pull to you
Now that was cool
A true logger
Glad to see some videos from East Tn, I live in Maryville TN
Nice shainsaw l have 1 like this the only thing the is so sad is the only big three the l see y if you cut no more big trees there
And thats how its done🌲🌳🌲🌲🌲🌳
Now right here America in times like these let's give it uupp!!🔥💥💪💯 he don't bullshit like talk for 10 min before he demonstrates he's video
He just gets it done. Right on. 3 strokes per tooth ...Budda bing..Budda bang...Budda boom !!! Then he throws on an extra stoke down in the gullet....so those chips fly out of there...Tada!!! and Sock it to me !!!
Should have go a husky 395
what happend to the 395,come on 395
You make it look easy, My hat comes off to you . Thanks for the video and be safe out there
Good work with a big Stihl greetings from România
I work in brimstone. You know where that is
Hey man you post some great videos, hope everything is ok and you can get back to posting soon!
Stinky pooppo tree...
Hey nice work on falling! Where is that located looks like Scott Co TN
Close. Northwest Anderson county
@@chrisoliver292 nice I'm in Scott Co TN and off of brimstone.. I would like to be doing what you're doing, keep up the good work and stay safe
@@chrisoliver292 if you're ever up in Scott Co or brimstone hit me up .. I got a old McCulloch pro 10-10 automatic
Thanks. Thats a real classic, a good little work horse.
@@chrisoliver292 yeah if I ever can get it running and tuned up lol.. just a little beast for small work I do..
Got idea.
But why no wedges ? too slow ?
I do use wedges when I have to but avoid it when I can. Big oaks like to spit them back at you and swinging an axe is just a lot of work.
I HAD TO LOWER IT DOWN A LITTLE BECAUSE I HAVE ANXIETY WHEN I HEAR A CHAINSAW BUT I AM WORKING ON IT IF YOU UNDERSTAND ME
very good
Damn!! Nice, lots of power
What size of saw do you have and bar length?
Stihl 660 with a 24" bar
Good video like to see how other people do there filing
Boy ole boy I hope everything is well sure do miss the videos
Let it idle about 5 sec. then turn it off so you don"t have any issues with the electronic management system, good work, stay safe !
