Fuel is under emencly high pressure. Something like 300psi as it's pumped to the injectors and when a fuel line ruptures a vapour cloud will fill a car in seconds. It's not a problem in normal cars as no fuel lines are in the cabin. But race cars often have the fuel cell where the back seat used to be. Halon gas extinguishers are essential. For your car carry an extinguisher in the cabin not the boot as you might not have time to get to the boot.

I also hate it when I mean to move to 5th but shift it into Fire instead
