NCASE M2 - surfing the wave
Reupload: unfortunately the first upload had sound problems, applied NR and added cool songs!
This build was definitely a good challenge! Attempting build 9 from NCASE website with 120mm RGB fans. Everything is fitting nicely in the M2 but getting the vertical gpu without the bracket was a bit of a tricky situation, in the end the GPU is secured and doesn't move! I love the ProArt cards, Its timeless and beautifully crafted design makes it really stand out, and working with it is always a pleasure.
This build has been made in collaboration with ASUS, huge thanks to them for providing a few of the parts featured in this video.

    GRATE video (Pun intended). This is almost the EXACT config I'm looking to do! This is a really well done video and because of it, might cost me a bunch of money ;) Question for you, if you installed the GPU in the standard config and lowered the PSU/MB a bit, do you think a 240/280 AIO would fit in the top?

    • @smallrtech
      @smallrtech 3 дня назад

      😂Thanks mate! It should fit with no fans at the bottom (tight fit using 12x25 fans on the AIO, nice fit using 12x15 fans). Also my advice would be to get the 8mm angled feets just to have more breathing room for the GPU. if you check my latest video I added a AIO with 12x28mm fans at the top and bottom and there is room but not that much.

    Never thought about using 240mm instead of 280mm I have. That will give me more room for cable management. Also raising the gpu and thus making rooms for bottom mounted fans is a great idea. With some tinkering, I'm tempted to build a second M2 with a RTX 5090 FE if that unicorn ever appears in the forest. Well done.

    Don't really like this wave. It's dumping 300W of heat directly into the CPU radiator. Side mesh panel will collect dust on the GPU portion and will be highly visible. Glass should be there instead, but then it's choking the GPU. It's a stupid wave.

    • @thenerdshark
      @thenerdshark 4 дня назад

      For high performance components in such a tiny enclosure as the M2, a negative pressure system like the one in the video is really the only way to maximize performance for all the components. Also, having the radiator next to the GPU is a non-issue; you only need to care about getting the hot air inside of the case out of it in order to not thermal throttle any of your devices. Having the top and bottom fans alienated with the GPU fins (as seen on the video) as well as the PSU exhaust will help to get all that hot air out of the system.

      the power cable and gpu bracket comes with the case, but you need to buy separately those silver standoffs I added to offset the gpu (they are m3 25mm standoffs). Switching to noctua might help with cable management and noise profile but will not perform better in terms of temperatures, those TR120 fans are performing really well when it comes to cooling. There is no space for a 5th fan unfortunately.
