@@elibaier I don't know why, but you should hear the difference as soon as you start the vehicle if the compressor isn't fully charged... not being fully charged is likely the reason. In comparison, it you're using an electric shaver and the battery isn't 100% charged, you'll hear the difference if you plug it in while it's turned on. Try it and see, you should hear a difference unless it's fully charged.

I agree that humidity plays an important role and it impacted by running the AC. Running the AC lowers the humidity. If you run the AC and recirc mode for too long, you can lower the humidity to uncomfortable levels. However it can be very beneficial to run the the AC and recirc mode at first to help bring down the temperature in the car quickly. Agree or disagree?

The gap is usually between 0.028 in and 0.060 in, but the ideal gap is provided in the vehicle's manual.m - in this case 0.044 in. Hope that helps!

just keep recirc going unless your outside temps are same as inside temps in which case... don't run the compressor and crack the windows if its a nice 72* day

From the manual page 135: The memory buttons can be reprogrammed and the vehicle keys re-assigned. 1) Open the driver door and do not get into the vehicle. 2) Operating the seat settings from outside the vehicle. Move the angle of the seat backrest completely forwards. 3) Release the control to set the angle and then press again until an audible warning is heard

I think it could be done, as long as you take your time and make sure you are doing it all correct. If you look in the comments there is an adapter that you can buy so you don’t have to cut and splice wires. Please let me know if you have any other questions

Schucks... do you think you have an electrical problem or mechanical? How did your fluid reservoir look? Does it only run for ~2 seconds while trying to open? Does it do the same when trying to close?

@@elibaier its obviously mechanical,,, the arm is brand new and the pump is brand new,, when its locked in place it only pops the lock mechanism , if its popped, it wont even try to lift the gate, it is open, it won’t try to lower the gate,,, I’m not an ASE certified mechanic but i have never had to take a vehicle to a dealer for mechanical issues.. in its simplest form its a pump, lines and a actuator, also in no video that i have found on this issue has anyone had to or even mentioned having to bleed the system in order for it to work, they all replaced the arm, topped off the hyd oil and pushed the button and it worked first time,,

Sounds frustrating… the reason you don’t have to bleed the hydraulic system is because the lines are all supposed to come completely filled. It almost sounds like your pump is getting a shut off signal… I wish I could help more..

Ok update… got out my power probe and took the arm off the lift gate.. i could make the arm extend and then it would automatically retract when i disconnected the power probe… got to thinking about the pump position… its horizontal so i turned it and now it will run for an appropriate amount of time to lift or lower the gate but it wont lift or lower it… also changed out the control module so now all three parts of the system are brand new… i guess I’m taking it to a dealer so they can break it off in my wallet….

Yeah it’s a great car! I think I was averaging around 28 mpg, so very decent! The only thing to watch out for is the life of the hybrid battery. If these cars experienced severe heat or cold it can diminish the life of the hybrid battery.
