Take my wallet. In all seriousness, I've both the original UF5's and UB52's and am quite pleased with their abilities to produce exceptional imaging without annoying, fatiguing top end. The detail is not these speakers' greatest trait, rather they're exceptionally clean and clear without ever sounding harsh or unnatural. The bass is remarkably tight and natural sounding. Well done, bud. I know you've moved on, but thanks for your thoughtful, quality contributions for the working class.

Rather late but I have this to share: loved the soundstage & imaging. After break in, I almost did not need my Rel T7x as the unifi's shocked the ... out of me with its low end...and it seems to continue extending.

It's sad when a company trades on its name. It's a tribute to the turntables they used to produce that they are able to. This one looks like it was made by the same OEM that lower end TEACs and Angels Horn uses. Hint to all, for about the price of this turntable, you can get a real (read original) Elac Miracord 50H used, and have twice the turntable in a real wood plinth.

Does anyone think a cambridge xax 35 amp is sufficient to drive these elacs? Mine seems to have more power than rated.

Bought a pair of Uni-Fi 2.0 UB52 three days ago, still in early break-in stage. My Willsenton R8 tube amp has separate binding posts for 4 ohm and 8 ohm speakers. Just wonder which one would be the better connection for this 6 ohm rated Elac. Would Mr Jones or other veterans please enlighten me ?

I only have one question. When are those Elac Polo shirts going to be available to the public?

Impedance question. It seems counterintuitive that higher ohms are easier to power. So if I take (2) 4 or 6 ohm speakers and wire them in series to each channel they become 8 or 12 ohms respectively. Then that should make them easier to drive and yet there are more drivers to power which seems counterintuitive except that hooking them parallel give the opposite effect of 2 or 3 ohms. Is this correct or not correct? Seems that if I want to use more speakers without any adverse effects I could use the series method.

Also strange on pricing is that the center channel unit is far more impressive at $299 than are the pair for $599. Makes 100% more sense to buy 2 of the centers and use those as the mains and don't buy the pairs at all. Is the center voiced differently that this is not a good idea?

One "oversight" on the center channel option? That center channel speaker looks awesome. I don't have one but was looking to buy one. I read some reviews and then it dawned on me. The center channel is more for clarity and not for bass. Why doesn't the center channel have a dual concentric 4" midrange (like where the woofers are) and only a single bass driver instead of exactly the opposite? Seems like that was an oversight in that design but perhaps a single mid-high is enough. Some reviewer said it was too bass present with the dual woofers. Maybe I will connect in series a book shelf pair for the center channel instead of the center unit option.

I just bought my 2nd pair BUT I did not pay full price using Amazon warehouse deals. I have a 9.1 setup using these near perfect speakers. I have a Klipsch sub, JBL 570s, JBL stage center channel, Emotive E2+ surrounds and 2 pairs of Elac 2.0 in the mix. I actually bought 4 pairs since they are giving them away.

The production quality of this video is just lacking... Feels super cheap.

I found it very difficult to find this video clip whereas reviews of this speaker from the Audiophiliac JoeAndTell and few others popped up immediately and easily.

Too bad..there is no 6.5in woofers for the floor standers. Its only 5.25in. What a missed opportunity here for elac

this is an AWFUL promotional ad!! really!! aren't they looking?! who ever did this, should be fired! but worse yet, the ELAC ceo or whomever allowed this ad to even air! did you notice the walls with peeling paint? is that a sign that the speakers vinyl wrap is as cheap as the room where they put this speakers on? c'mon, it looks so un classy! these cheap metal window frames, the view of the windows! looks like done on five minutes on the first empty apartment they found on the suburbs of who knows where! love most of elac speakers, but this is dreadful promotion! ...i won't even comment on the music... .mon dieu!

Hope they’ve managed to sort out the weak midrange on the bookshelf speakers.. The last ones were OK on acoustic music but any amount of instrumentation and the vocals rapidly disappear into the mix.

0:37 Where are they filming this!??? I can get better production quality in my apartment using my IPhone!!! This video is making these speakers look much more uglier than they are! They should probably remove this, save themselves the embarrassment...

Do you guys consider the Uni-Fi 2.0 as an entry level audiophile grade speaker ?

Does in see/ support Roon Bridge? I have researched and get contradictory advice on the net. For ropiee etc.? I know it works with airplay, but will in see it as a roon ready, the way it works on the full Roon?
