This playthrough, I switched shadowheart to war domain cleric and added two levels of fighter. She's my heavy armor tank now. I'm not finished with Act two yet and she's already got 27 AC. Nothing can even scratch her most of the time, and if it does, she just heals. I think it's one of my favorite builds.

This mod should be an dlc instead,its just crazy how this mod compliments other factions ending perfectly even this faction storyline is better than minuteman,the institute or the railroad in terms of storyline And man the amount of Enclave camp is pretty good,even sometimes we found small amounts of the enclave roaming around the commonwealth Overall this mod is 9.5/10 It would be perfect if the enclave totally control Prydwen instead destroy it and take over the Liberty prime

I lowered her strength to 8 and made her off hand the club of giant strength, put on the circlet of INT, and the bracers of DEX that way I got her CON, WIS, INT, STR and DEX pretty much maxed... WAR spec'd and she kicks ass

you respec her into a ranged character (Dex) or a brawler (Strength) and change her Domain to Knowledge to maintain Lore accuracy and make her useful

You dont really need her to hit anything, first she is way more useful for buffs and heals and once she has lvl3 spells just slap some speed item/spell on her and she becomes a whirlwind of death by using Spirit guardians. I only respec her to light once she rejects Shar.

Generally speaking, I would not dump dex. It's just as important as constitution because it impacts your initiative and rolling top of initiative is incredibly important. The 2 ways I'd consider building a cleric are: 16 Wisdom, 16 Con, 14 Dex and 12 strength. The reason for these stats is that only even ability points have function. So 17 or 15 in an attribute doesn't serve you, though there is still and argument for taking it which I'll get to. This arrangement lets you put points into strength which affects your carry weight, jump distance, melee attacks, and athletics checks when you shove. It's a quality of life pick. The second stat spread I would consider is 17 wisdom, 16 con, and 15 dex. The reason this can pan out is that you can take an ability improvement as one of your feats. It gives you 2 points to use and so you can use that to split between your 2 odd stats and get 2 stat increases for the price of one. It will allow you to have 16 dex and con, while still maxing your wisdom later if you wanted. You can also do something I'm between and take 1 odd stat if you wanted to take a feat that grants one ability point and then you could take 10 strength for the quality of life that offers. A key thing is that i would not focus on strength as a cleric. Making weapon attacks is typically just less valuable than a lot of other options clerics have and so it's just not worth the opportunity cost of dumping your dex. Dumping dex for strength gives you a few mid options in combat at the cost of falling near the bottom of the turn order at the beginning of the game where you're most likely to lose and need the most advantages.

War domain clerics also get martial weapon proficiencies which will add an additional +4 to hit after your respec with pretty much any weapon in the game which is pretty darn good if you're going to have her front line. Give her heavy armor and a shield (can't break concentration of they never hit you), grab the war caster feat and maybe some con save boosting items if you like, cast spirit guardians with any good one handed weapon and have the rest of your party plus a few summons bog up the battlefield and knock creatures prone or entangle them or whatever. If you give her any of the dozen items in the game that grant momentum she can then run around unfettered with the spirit guardians and wack one particularly nasty bad guy or any underling that needs to get out of the way twice with one of five war priest charges, plus she also has the ability to give her or any nearby ally +10 to hit with channel divinity on that crucial coup de grâce to free her up to keep doing 4d8 damage to everything on the battlefield every single turn if she gets stuck. It's literally better action economy to dash with momentum than to ever attack but if you can't get around and have to attack you're still pretty much guaranteed to hit if you don't crit fail with channel divinity at best or 50/50 vs 21 AC at absolute worst with a +1 weapon. Plus decent weapons aren't hard to come by so it's just an opportunity to use up those "once per short rest" weapon abilities that always get forgotten anyway. It literally does not matter when you use them it will always be beneficial because either you do more damage to the boss or you steamroll some underling before he can even hit you and keep running around without giving him a second thought. You're going to short rest after every encounter anyway and you know it.

Ngl i mostly kept her for healing only since healing was the only thing she is good at and could get value every time. She was basically my meat shield that heals the actual damage dealers and idk y i never thought to change up her stats

Make her a paladin and smite the hell out of people. Her battle cry is a blast

Lazelle is my problem character. I can build her to attack 6 times in one turn with voss' cool sword and she'll miss 4 of them

I give her the headband of intellect early and use firebolt regularly.

i used 14/14/14/8/16/8 with tempest, haste her. cast water on enemies then call lightning everything...or use scrolls l.bolt/chainlightning, for boss witchbolt+channel div. = BOOM.

In my own exp shadowheart tends to crit often and lazel misses so damn often.

Bro sometimes i even like don't believe she's gonna hit, but i just use whatever ranged ability she has, and she actually hits 😂. She's so bad that when it works you get surprised

Our Shart is a powerhouse that, for some reason, ALWAYS goes last in initiative.

Honestly I just pop Guardians of Faith on her, run towards a group of enemies and hit/recast as needed.

I'm totally going to try this out. I would make ONE tweak: Give the two Lore Bards their first level in Fighter. At the cost of a *single level delay* in Bard progression, you get: - Medium Armor Proficiency - Heavy Armor Proficiency - Shield Proficiency - Proficiency with every weapon in the game - Constitution Saving Throw Proficiency - Permanent +1 AC (defense fighting style) With just holding a shield and the fighting style, that is immediate +3 to AC forever. On top of that access to the incredible Medium Armors, and the much more useful Con Save proficiency which makes holding Concentration much more reliable.

You can respec any character into any class, so this guide is pretty useless. I made her a ranger that summons wolves (yes, irony) from first chance and now she's a killer who still has heals and a useful summon. People coming out with these guides for her like "make her a Warlock with Eldritch boosts. It's really just the trickery domain that's wack.

If you go nature domain, you not only get heavy armor, you also get access to the Shillelagh cantrip, which lets you turn a club or quarterstaff into a magic weapon that uses your WIS modifier instead of streangth or dex. Then you can drop both.

How did I not know you could change your companions classes

I didn't know firebolt used intelligence, the game never says. I thought it just rolled a d20 against the target's AC.

There are only 2 priest subclasses good at melee range, war priest and light priest. war priest gets hold monster at lvl9, so subclass choice is limited for it. you probably only want to do 9+3 priest/druid, multiclass druid will make max wisdom extremley useful, get the last +1 from Jaheira house in chapter 3. Light priest does not rely on high lvl spells so as long as you multiclass a caster, you are fine. a lvl5+ bard would be good for control and AC depends on which school you've picked.

I only succesfully defended the grove on my first run because she landed a Hail Mary 33% chance necrotic touch on minthara that basically won the battle in one turn.

Switch off honor and tactician mode, problem solved.

Why am I getting deja vu?

I finally beat Honore Mode last night using this guide. I loved the “bully arc”. I wonder how many other encounters you can get through without fighting. A couple of heart attack moments when I set up my team during Ketheric I definitely did not get a surprise round, same with Orin. Not sure if that was patched. And Gale was willing to sacrifice himself as long and you just keep chatting with him in your camp. I didn’t do any side quests for him. All in all great walkthrough. Oh! The Gortash dialogue after you have all of the stones is tricky! Make sure you do Insight twice and each time you refuse to give up your stones.

Fun fact there are mods that make the creation club remnants allies with the America Rising ones, as well as add all the gear from the cc to the mod's level list

It never occurred to me that it was possible to respec the companions.

You should go back and turn the radio off and unlock the safe where you got the power armor from for the power armor mod 😊

Light domain is so good even late game... popping a potion of speed and bloodlust on her, destructing wave > destructing wave > radiance of the dawn. You can delete and entire army in 1 turn, I've had her turn "hard" fights into trivial ones by just aoe'ing everything out of existence It served me well because my Tav was fighter and I had Astarion/Karlach (rogue/barb) so without a wizard/sorc in my party, Shadowheart filled the aoe damage role perfectly, while providing healing support if I ever needed it.

I don't like low Dex on casters (unless I'm taking feats to boost Initiative). Combat buffs and CC are just too high in value not to open with.
